Who: Jung Kiseok
What: Supernatural AU
Story: The full moon has gone down and in its wake is something Kiseok can't take back.
The sun rose slowly with thick fog covering the land like Stephen King's novel the mist. He woke up with the taste of iron on his tongue. This was a familiar taste to him, one side of him hated it but the other side reveled in the sheer raw taste of blood. The beast inside of him was always forced out of him when the full moon rose. Those that were turned found each other and formed a Pack. Some Packs fought for territory, usually against the purebreds, others simply fought to stay alive.
The morning was luke warm, soft rays of light broke through the early fog. The man sat up slowly, looking around noticing himself covered in dried blood and dirt. The smell of the fresh morning dew entered his nose, it wasn't as strong this morning, which meant the wolf had returned to the depths of his soul.
They'd meet again next month.
He sharply turned towards the voice that called his name.
"What have you done?"
The wide horrified eyes that looked back at him belonged to Hyolee. He looked down at his side, his eyes grew with shock and horror as well. How had he missed the body laying next to him, covered in blood and a large portion of her flesh was missing. The girl looked like she had been mauled by an animal. Most of the left side of her chest was missing, her face was looking away from him but it was frozen in terror. The shoe on her right foot looked like it was partly off as if, while she was running she hit something, it was forced off. She was tanned and had dark hair, she wasn't Korean.
Kiseok knew it, deep down she was running from him. The taste of her blood was still sitting on his tongue. After he'd eaten her, he must've fallen asleep. Her stomach and been bitten into multiple times. Her intestines weren't completely devoured and her ribs poked out from their safe haven inside her. Her heart was missing too- no, not just missing it had been removed almost...carefully? Kiseok didn't know the woman's name or her face. He couldn't remember anything from last night which was unusual. His wolf has killed before but he killed animals or rival wolves that tried to fight him during a hunt. He'd never kill a person for food but he knew it, her blood was on his hands....or rather his teeth.
He looked back up at Hyolee,
"I swear, I didn't kn-"
She held up her hands to get him to stop talking. She grabbed his arms raising him up, being careful not to touch the blood on him.
"We have to get you cleaned up."
He looked at her confused. In her eyes, he could see a plan formulating but her voice conveyed slight panic. She stared at the body for a moment then looked up at him again,
"We have to hide the body."
He didn't know what to say. She looked around and saw some bushes. She told Kiseok to help her take the body and hide it. Once they did, she tried to kick up the dirt where they were laying so it wasn't obvious there was blood there. Hyolee was mostly quiet which made Kiseok nervous. They walked back to where the pack meets to shift, that's where he left his clothes.
Hyolee wasn't a wolf, she was something like a guardian of the Pack. She helped the pack whenever they needed it. She had the cabin, where the pack met, built for them. She would look after the pack's kids the nights of the full moon. Kiseok never thought that she would take her role so seriously that she would end up covering his murder.
They arrived at the cabin, neither one spoke as they headed inside. Kiseok looked at her, trying to get information from her body language. Her shoulders were stiff; she looked like she was ready to fight. Her jaw was tight, she must've been stressed as well. She was mostly quiet and there was a look of determination in her eyes, while there was a hint of urgency in her stride. Kiseok found his bag but before he could touch it Hyolee stopped him.
"You have to clean yourself. Luckily you were naked. I'm going to clean my car." She said.
"Why are we hiding it, won't they just think that an animal ate her?"
She looked at him angry,
"Do you have any idea who you killed?"
"This situation is far more dire than you think. That woman was Eva."
"Am I supposed to know who that is?" He asked.
She sighed and handed him a cloth and a bucket of water she had started filling when she came inside. Kiseok started to wash his face and body while she spoke.
"Lilth and Eve were sisters and both wives of Adam. Lilth was cast out of Eden with Adam when they sinned against god. Adam then replaced Lilith with Eve. The holy book only spoke of Eve's sons: Cain, Able, and Seth. They never mentioned the daughter of Eve. As a way of revenge for being the favored sister in God's and Adam's eyes, Lilth crushed the seed that she kept with her from the forbidden tree. She placed the powder in Eve's drink and Eve ended up conceiving Eva. Lilth thought she was giving immortality to Eve so that she could never reach heaven and be with her husband and children after they died. She saw it as a fitting punishment, instead, what happened was Eva was born with the inability to grow old."
"If she's immortal why did she die? " He asked confused.
The way she glared at him made Kiseok feel like she'd shot invisible knives in his spine. He started to change clothes as she continued,
"She was ageless but she was never immortal. Her power or rather her genetics are different. She is the mother of every purebred supernatural in the world. She was off limits especially to the turned and now you've killed her. We can't let the pure bloods find out."
Kiseok didn't know. He wasn't sure if any of the turned knew about her. Hyolee was trained since birth to know. She came from a long line of guardians; she should've told him earlier. Kiseok wondered why his wolf attacked her? Did it know who she was? Did it harbor the same hate that he felt towards the wolf that had scratched him years ago? Kiseok knew he was now in a load of trouble, of course the mother of supernaturals was off limits and his wolf had gone and killed her. He was screwed, his stomach started to twist with the distinct feeling of fear, the way he felt after he'd first turned. Hyolee looked up at him, she grabbed a shovel as she walked across the room. He noticed she had gloves on now and she had grabbed a bag.
"Throw your cleaning cloth in here. I'll go and clean out the car. We'll head back and bury her. We'll have to bury her deep and near the water. It'll mask her scent. Then we can burn this stuff." Hyolee said.
He nodded but his hand shook a little as he threw tbe cloth in the bag. He was silent and his eyes stared off into space, looking at nothing. A part of him wanted to cry, Eva's dead body flashed through his mind. He was ready to throw up, it wasn't like eating animal meat, this beast inside of him was untamed and dangerous. Kiseok knew he had to be put down.
Hyolee finished cleaning out the car and they drove back to where Kiseok woke up. Hyolee started digging a hole while Kiseok covered Eva's body so he could carry her to the hole. Kiseok was scared they'd get caught and Hyolee would go down for it as well. He tried to convince her to let him do it alone but she was focused and determined to get it done with him. Kiseok still tried to figure out why he couldn't remember why he went so crazy. Even with his wolf being feral, it wasn't like his wolf to kill a person and it was even less likely for him to forget.
"This should be good enough." Hyolee said.
"Are you sure?"
She looked up at him, her expression looked as if she wanted to say no she wasn't. She bent down to grab Eva by her shoulders and Kiseok grabbed her feet. They dumped her body into the grave and started to cover it. Kiseok shook his head, why had he killed her? Was she a threat? What happened? He stopped for a moment to look up and noticed something in the distance.
"Hey what's that?" He asked.
It looked like a floating red orb, it was the shade of blood and seemed to glow. Hyolee straightend up to see it herself. She was confused too,
"I don't know."
Kiseok started to groan in pain, it felt as though someone was driving a power drill through his brain. He screamed in pain as he held his head and started to back up.
"Kiseok!" Hyolee ran over to him.
"Stay away!" He growled.
The growl was very animal like. He couldn't think about why though, the pain was too severe for him to wonder why it sounded like his wolf was rising to the surface again. In the distance, the red orb was coming closer, growing bigger. The closer it got the more pain Kiseok was feeling; however, this pain was starting to be familiar, it moved through out his body and he found himself ripping his clothes off as if that would bring him relief.
The madness of last night began to stir in his mind. His memory of running, chasing prey when he'd seen the same glowing red orb came back. It came out of nowhere, yet he wasn't in pain then, probably because he was already a wolf. The red orb was almost like the moon, it rose above him becoming brighter and bigger and fury welled up in his wolf. He bared his teeth, snarled and the look of a ravage killer filled his eyes. A dark figure stepped into his view, it whispered something to him, told him to find Eva and to take her heart to bring it back to her. The woman gave him something to catch the scent then he went off on his hunt.
The memories were back for Kiseok but unfortunately so was his savage werewolf that had forced him to shift. Hyolee stared at the wolf before her in pure shock, turned wolves can't shift without a full moon, now that same look of terror from before had returned.
"It can't be," She whispered in awe.
"Oh but it is."
The voice came from the one projecting this red moon that forced Kiseok to turn. Hyolee looked to the figure,
She smiled at Hyolee. Eun Young is a powerful witch, one that had forced a pack of wolves to become feral and turn against each other. The daughter of choas is what they called her and now she had Kiseok under her control. She walked over to Kiseok and patted him on the head while raising her red moon even higher,
"Simon, kill her for me," she demanded.
Kiseok's wolf growled and started to lunge for Hyolee.
"Kiseok listen to me. You have to fight it!" She screamed.
Kiseok jumped on top of her, he snapped at her neck trying to bite down but she was able to block him for a moment. She picked up a rock beside her and smashed it into the side of his eye. Kiseok whimpered and hopped off of Hyolee trying to brush his eye with his paw. Hyolee stood up, her heart racing, adrenaline coursing through her body in an attempt to survive. Eun- Young didn't seem disturbed though.
"Kiseok, this isn't you, you're under a spell. Fight it!"
"It's no use darling. My spells are unbreakable, especially after I've collected mother's heart,"
She produced the heart that Kiseok retrieved for her, Eva's heart.
"With this, I'm unstoppable. Or didn't you know?"
Hyolee gritted her teeth. She turned and ran to get away with the hope that drawing Kiseok away from the red moon would bring him back to normal. Kiseok was quick and Eun Young was persistent. The red moon followed Kiseok as he chased after Hyolee. She wasn't fast enough to escape him. He jumped on her and his jaws snapped again. Hyolee tried to use a thick stick to hold off his bite but he bit right through it. She screamed as he came down sinking his teeth into her neck and then he violently shook her, hard enough to break her neck.
Kiseok's wolf drug the dead body back to Eun Young. She grinned and patted his head,
"Good boy Simon," she looked at the hole kiseok and Hyolee dug up.
"Get rid of her."
The wolf walked to the hole, tossing the body into the grave. The wolf began to cover the hole while Kiseok screamed on the inside. His human soul was crying at its powerlessness. He killed Hyolee, there was no mercy. He tossed her body into a grave, there was no honor. He walked back to Eun Young, he had no control. The wolf had taken over, she used him to kill his friend the same way she used him to kill Eva and he was unable to do a thing about it. Eun Young smiled at him and said,
"Good boy. Now, let's go introduce some vampires to the sun."
This mad woman was going to destroy the supernatural offspring of Eva with him as her accomplice....there was nothing he could do about it. The humam soul of Jung Kiseok was left to scream in agony and terror deep inside the wolf Simon, where no one would ever hear him again...
Shall we date Kpop?
