Mason jars are so versatile. You can use them in the kitchen, garden, bathroom.. practically anywhere. Finding a use for these jars is only limited by your imagination.
I found another great use for these glass jars on Martha Stewart and wanted to share it with all of you.
I'm going to add my own ideas to make these garden markers last as long as possible.
-Mason Jar (without lid)
-Card stock (Cut to the size of the lid and make a slit in the center, the length of your stake) or Cloth (Cut a little larger than lid and make a slit in the center, the length of your stake)
1.Glue seedling packet to the end of a wooden stake. If one end of your stake is cut on a bias, glue the packet to the other end.
2.Place mason jar right side up and insert seedling packet into the jar.
3. USING CARD STOCK: Slide card stock onto stake and secure it to the jar with the metal band.
USING CLOTH: Slide cloth onto stake and secure it to the jar with the metal band.
**I added this extra step to seal the jar, to keep the insects and bugs from crawling in.
4. Insert the other end of the stake into soil and enjoy~
