Although I have a darker complexion, there is an area between the top of my cheeks and the bottom of my eyes is actually very fair. This causes lots of issues in the summer time when I am outside. I have to wear sunscreen that is at least 100 SPF for my face to stand a chance against burning. When I get back in I always use aloe to sooth it on a daily basis, but twice a month, I use this oatmeal egg mask. My mom started making it for me when I was about 7 when she realized that my skin is very sensitive to sunlight.
What you need: A third of a cup of whole, uncooked oatmeal and one egg yolk.
Making it: In a blender, grind the oatmeal into a fine powder. In a small bowl, blend the powdered oatmeal with the yolk into a paste.
Using it: Apply mixture to clean skin and leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
How often to use it: Twice a month.
