Instagram Filters (Photoshop Actions Tutorial)
Everyone loves those Instagram filters, but what about adding them to your photographs outside of the app? Here is a link and tutorial to Photoshop Instagram actions that will allow you to apply these filters to your photos! Step 1: Download the actions from the link. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18590/photoshop-instagram-actions-by-dbox.zip Step 2: Copy the .atn files into the Actions directory. For PC -> C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop\Preset\Photoshop Actions For MAC -> Applications > Photoshop > Presets > Actions Step 3: Restart Photoshop if you already have it open. Once open, select the "Window" menu at the top, and select "Actions" to open the Actions window. ("Window" is in between "View" and "Help") Step 4: Select the appropriate action and it should be applied to your photograph!

Oh this is actually really useful and cool! I wonder if Instagram will ever launch a desktop version of the app...

@cityofkyle Personally, I don't see why not. However in their eyes they probably don't want people just posting from the computer. I think people would start to spam Instagram a lot more if they could post from their desktop

@cityofkyle I think the fact that instagram is an app on on your phone is what makes it unique and fun! Sometimes apps like that don't translate well to desktop, or are just more popular on mobile, like Twitter
