Whether you plan to rent or buy a dress, consider these styles. 1. Sweetheart Neckline This never seem to go out of fashion. This sweet and sexy neckline is more modest than a tube dress. The best part is it looks stunning on almost every size. Definitely, a keeper! 2. Off-White Dress I'm seeing more and more brides opt for a subtle peach and off-white dress for weddings. It's something more dramatic than white but still remains the classic look. Perfect for Spring and Summer lightening. 3. Open Back Beauty Want to add a touch of sensuality while looking sophisticated? The open-back design is the winner. The exposed back design is a compromise between modern and modes without disturbing the crowd. 4. A Touch of Vintage The vintage bride with headpieces is a growing trend last year and this year it will continue to remain strong. The 20s inspired gowns are sexy, low-key and perfect for a boho-bride. 5. Texture Update Want to stick with a classic design and be set apart from all the other brides? A subtle texture with a touch of individuality is the perfect way to go. Look at the tube for example. 6. Tulle Tulle This is a better upgrade of the giant princess-style gown that you've seen in the past. I'm especially drawn by the bottom half design - multiple layers of tulle fabric. One of my Korean friends just got married and their wedding photos are stunning! (The photos on this card aren't my friends' lol!) I asked them how it was and my friend told me about the "new tradition" of "Seu-Deu-Meh" 스 - 스튜디오 (Studio) (seu) - (seu-too-di-o) 드 - 드레스 (Dress) (deu) - (deu-re-seu) 메 - 메이크업 (Make Up) (meh) - (meh-ee-keu-up) 스드메 - The whole process of going to a wedding studio for your hair, make up, and dress to take really high quality wedding photos! In Korea, weddings are a HUGE business and people spend a tooooon of money on making the day picture perfect. The newest trend is to get really really dressed up and take "pre-wedding" photos in a studio so that the bride and groom-to-be look like models. It reminds me of Taeyang's Wedding Dress :3 What do you think of this trend? Would you spend a lot of money on wedding photos in a studio?
How-To: Boho Braided Half Crown
The Beauty Department just published this super cute hair tutorial that I had to share with my gals and my brides on Vingle! As you can see, it's super easy and straight forward in the instructions. Try this out and let me know what you think! 1. Wave hair. 2. Gather and section off the top half of your hair (temple to temple) 3. Roll and clip this section up and away. 4. Next section off one inch sections on your right and left side from your hairline, near your temple (this is the area slightly above your ear). Braid this section vertically down. 5. Backcomb the braid instead of tying it off. Repeat on both sides. 6. Bring braids forward towards the face and unclip the top section of hair (step 3). Allow this section to fall and blend with the bottom half of your hair. 7. Take both braids from each side. 8. Bring these braids to the middle back of your head, cross them over each other. 9. Using a bobby pin that blends with your hair color, fasten both braids. 10. Now make one inch sections below your first set of braids on each side. Repeat the first set of braids we did (Follow steps 4 and 5 ). Make sure the braid is directly under your last braids. 11. Once both sides are braided bring hair around to the middle back of your head and cross them over each other. 12. Using a bobby pin that blends with your hair color, fasten both braids. 13. Once everything is fastened adjust your curls on the bottom half and style using a texture spray. 14. Finish off waves and look with a weightless protectant. 15.
