Maps are no longer divided up into regions with PSO2 Meseta loading screens. NG is going to have an entirely open world from the home base to the field. The TGS footage showed a beautiful new world that is a substantial upgrade from the current game. Arai mentions that different regions can be attained easily simply by exposing the entire world. It looks like this is the planet Naberious in the present game, with woods being adjacent to tundra and different areas. Areas are still technically split up, but there's no loading between them. While it hasn't been directly mentioned, an open world like this implies there might not be single party areas . Most shown in the footage were multi-party regions where there were other gamers. The cap for multi-party areas has been reduced to eight from twelve in the present PSO2, but that you see will differ from area to area.
Weather is creating a better comeback as it affects dynamically and may affect the battlefield, even though the size of the impact wasn't spoken of. Time will also change, and footage showed some nice touches such as fireflies in the woods at night. There is no word on quick travel, vehicles or mounts yet, but Sega has implemented some new ways for players to move fast across this large new world. Players will be able to run faster after a dodge both in and outside of combat. A blue streak follows underfoot, so you will know you're doing it right when you see it.
The other significant addition to motion shown off in the initial NG trailer is the slide. It goes as far as some of the screenshots have made it seem. Players can get to high ground and leap off to slide and receive pretty damn much across the map. Like in Breath of the Wild, you will be able to make you're way up a mountain to slide off from -- but minus anything inhibiting you enjoy endurance. It'll also make for some dramatic entrances into battle. Sega mentioned that crafting and gathering could be getting an overhaul, and while we did not get a peek at crafting, we did see how much nicer it is to snag items in the specialty. Gathering can be done on the fly, very similar to Dragon Hunter: World.
Get close to a product, and just tap a button. Fruit can be harvested in trees, you will find fresh docile creatures that may be searched for meat and other items and healing items can be seen through the property as green glowing indicators called Resta Signs. It is a lot more intuitive than the present game. It's just faster, more mobile and smoother. You will find no more Perfect Attacks; instead, it is more like contemporary action games with combos and counterattacks. Dodging and blocking is more fluid for many classes also. Certain classes may see a difference in play.
There's no longer attacking from the air indefinitely, therefore expect to be on the floor more dodging and countering. Attacks and PAs are set up the same manner they are currently with specific buttons performing particular strikes or the 1-2-3 system. So far as PB's go, since Mag's will not be a part of gameplay , they behave more like Complex Photon Arts, that have been introduced in Japan's PSO2 with Episode 6. As opposed to summoning a creature, PB's will rather be a massive attack dealing serious harm that needs to pso2 sales be recharged through battle.
