Meet Ken, a 9-year-old boy living in the Philippines, who spends his spare time helping to care for stray dogs. In February, Ken posted photos of himself feeding stray animals and it went viral. People from all over the world offered financial support to help him care for these animals. With the money he received, he has been able to build a shelter in his family’s garage and lease a 10,000 square foot lot for a year for $1,500. His goal is to help these animals recover from their illness and find them loving homes. @dillonk @ameliasantoas So true. A lot of the larger charities get enough funding and donations. I heard there are a lot of big name charities that abuse the money that is donated. You have to do your research before you open up your wallet
@Sjeanyoon Well it's a very complicated process for large charities. Money doesn't always go directly to the charity because marketing and advertising is expensive, but some would argue that marketing and advertising is essential for getting the message out to as many people as possible. That being said, there are large charities that abuse the money that is given to them.
what an inspirational story
it just goes to show how amazing children are....
I love this all the way to my very soul. Bless his parents for allowing him to use their garage for this! What an amazing little man!
