There are, of course, times when it is necessary to directly "tell" something. But for today, let's practice some showing language. Prompt: Think like Chehkov: “Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.” Write a sentence telling something. Go ahead, write it. Now rewrite that sentence and instead show the same meaning to the writer in a way that touches their senses and allows their mind to create what you want to share. Recommended time: 3-5 minutes. Feel free to share your writing exercise; I'll comment mine as well. Let's keep writing together. This prompt is inspired by a prompt given by Jessica Kluthe.
