Creative Non-fiction Writing Prompt #8: A Lie
Prompt: Think about a lie that you have told; something you know wasn't true. Now, write a few sentences about why it's true. (I know, it's not, but it's an exercise in shaping ideas. For this one, it doesn't have to be true, because we know it's all a lie.) Feel free to comment your exercise below; I'll add mine, soon, too. Let's keep writing!

It didn't bother me at all when you told her I was lying. Really, why would it bother me? We've barely been close for months now, and so, it doesn't really matter. I won't bring it up again.

The last time I ate McDonald's was high school: after that I took the time to take care of myself, eat healthy, because I know it's important. Even in my dorm, I bought vegetables and tried to eat as well as I could with my meal plan. No late night McDonald's trips for me (This is easily one of the stupidest things I have written @greggr, but I said I would try).

@amog32 lol I'm sorry but were you hungry when you wrote this, or do you often lie about eating McDonalds? I'm intrigued!

@onesmile People always get so judgemental when I say I eat McDonald's, so I do lie quite a lot
