Isabel Bayrakdarian (born 1974 in Zahlé, Lebanon) is a Grammy Award-nominated Armenian Canadian opera singer. She teamed up with the Minasyan Duduk Quartet from Armenia for a special performance of the Armenian song, "Dle Yaman" a lament about losing one's homeland and loved one. The video is filmed in Turkey and in Armenia, in places where the two countries' borders have overlapped and superseded one another. The location where they are performing is the medieval Armenian city of Ani, now almost completely in ruin. The city is located within the borders of the Republic of Turkey. It is, in my opinion, a great place to film this performance, which is full of sorrow and pain.

@cityofkyle this was haunting! Is there a reason why the city is in Turkey? Isabel's voice is incredible, and the setting in the ruins was a great place to film the song, completely agree! The duduk's sound is so different from anything I've ever heard
