I know that Donnie Darko is a film, but I'm sure Lewis Carroll would approve of this pairing. Alice in Wonderland is actually quite a dark book for children. I know that I was always frightened by the Queen, and that horrible baby that turned into a pig! Yikes! "This drink was created by Kristian Kramp, a bartender from Denmark, who claimed that he was influenced by both Donnie Darko and Alice in Wonderland in naming this drink. This one is fun because it combines two fictional characters – the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, and the terrifying demon rabbit from Donnie Darko. This concoction is an odd combination of ingredients that somehow work quite well – Fernet Branca (the demon rabbit, for sure), Beefeater Gin (the British white rabbit, indeed), and orange and lemon juices and maple syrup to even the flavors out. Here's the recipe: 3/4 oz Fernet Branca 3/4 oz Beefeater Gin 3/10 oz Lemon Juice 3/4 oz Orange Juice 3/4 oz Maple Syrup Shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Perhaps an orange slice garnish would not be out of place here."

Branca and Jin...well that's a combination. Adding this to a list for another night.
