There are millions of Android devices using Roblox, so we need to ensure smooth performance. It is challenging to produce high-performance rendering - we target several architectures and devices on different power/performance curves, as well as a wide range of different versions of drivers.
We want smooth gaming experience. So, if you want some of music codes, costume codes, etc for roblox gaming, visit roblox codes to get best online gaming experience. for 2021 promocodes are not exired. Visit site and gram one.
Our Vulkan renderer was launched in 2018 and since then it has steadily gained market share compared to our OpenGL renderer, with ~40% of our Android userbase using Vulkan today.
Our team had to spend considerable time analyzing performance and improving the performance of the Vulkan backend in the wake of the initial launch. In order to achieve this, we had to do a lot of investigation and testing - there was no good performance-focused optimization at the time, so we had to experiment with different solutions for each particular problem.
As part of Reboot Develop Red 2019, we presented a combined talk with ARM that explored performance optimization challenges from two different perspectives:
1. A new repository of performance-focused sample Vulkan code, developed by ARM and donated to Khronos, can be found here: https://www.khronos.org/blog/vulkan-releases-unified-samples-repository. ARM's Joe Rozek spoke about the framework and the general structure of the sample data.
2. To help other developers optimize Vulkan code and give some insight into the problems and solutions we faced at Roblox, I discussed several concrete issues we faced while optimizing our renderer, tradeoffs we had to weigh, and solutions we found.
The Reboot talk wasn't able to address those aspects of the subject, so the team collaborated with ARM again during GDC 2020 to cover those aspects in more depth as well as GPU performance optimization for ARM. The Reboot talk is available on GDC Vault.
For the past decade, Arseny Kapoulkine has focused on game technology. Even after years of experience working on rendering, physics simulations, language runtimes, multi-threading, and many other areas, he is still discovering challenging game-related problems that require low-level reasoning. He helped ship several FIFA games on PS3 before joining Roblox in 2012 and working on its in-house engine since then, helping to achieve the dreams of young game developers.

FAQs
Is Vulkan good for Roblox?
In 2017, Vulkan was released as a graphics mode, competing with OpenGL from a performance standpoint. As well as consuming less CPU, Vulkan can distribute its work better between multiple processors.
Is Roblox poorly optimized?
The higher end of Roblox is poorly optimized. ... You can check your ping by switching on the performance settings in the Roblox menu. It will appear laggy if your ping is too high. Depending on how keen you are, you will notice anything over 50-150 ms, and 200-250+ can negatively affect your experience.
Why is Roblox so laggy in 2020?
A game that lags is generally a sign of a slow game. You may experience this problem if your system is overloaded with high-powered programs. To ensure the best Roblox experience, you should close all other applications before you run Roblox.
Laggy on mobiles
Graphics Lag
When you play Roblox, if your device isn't very powerful, you may experience stuttering or choppy gameplay. This section lets you check the Roblox graphics quality. The first step is to toggle Graphics Quality - Auto to reduce the level.
Is Roblox more CPU or GPU-intensive?
Roblox became more and more CPU intensive after Shadow Updates and RTHRO Updates, so getting a GPU isn't a solution. The best processor to get is AMD's 3rd generation processor with Radeon Vega graphics, or Intel's 8th or 9th generation processor with INTEL HD Graphics.

Why is Roblox so CPU intensive?
It's your CPU that does rendering calculations on Roblox, not your GPU. When compared with triple-A games such as Battlefield 4, they can lag so much with basic blocks.
Does Roblox use a graphics card?
Graphics Card: DirectX 10 and higher feature levels are required to run the Roblox application on Windows/PC. The best performance is achieved with computers under 5 years old with a dedicated video card or laptops under 3 years old with an integrated video card.
Does Roblox cause viruses?
According to Brian Jaquet, the company's Senior Public Relations Director, it is impossible to get a virus while playing on the Roblox platform as the game does not allow or have the capability to upload, retrieve, or otherwise distribute harmful executables or malware.
