"Scientific research has proven that people subconsciously seek out sunlit places and enjoy spending time in natural light. Research has also proven that there are real benefits associated with spending time in spaces that offer abundant natural light. The benefits of natural lighting are numerous and can affect a person's health, the environment and energy usage." I am the kind of person that needs natural light to wake up in the morning. I find myself getting cranky if I am in too much artificial light, especially that horrible fluorescent lighting you can find everywhere! I have found that ever since moving into a place with a large greenhouse window, my use of electricity has declined dramatically. I now only turn on my kitchen lights after the sun has completely set, rather than when I used to turn on my kitchen lights even in the afternoon! Natural light in your kitchen will make you feel happier and healthier, especially with all that vitamin D being let into your life! So turn off your lights, open your blinds, and spend some quality time with your greenhouse window :)
I never realized how important natural light is for the body (and plants!) until I moved into a tiny apartment with no windows. Such a drag
I'm all about Vitamin D! I truly believe that it effects us much more than we realize
I would always prefer to be outside, but houses with natural light are the best!
@galinda Fluorescent light actually has a really poor effect on your health! It is smart to get a normal lamp, many office buildings and stores are actually switching away from fluorescent!
My current dorm room has only fluorescent lighting so the first thing I did when I moved in was to buy a floor lamp. Not as good as natural light but much better than that horrible white glow!
