Sử dụng thuốc điều trị tiểu đường Sử dụng các loại thuốc trong điều trị tiểu đường là nguyên nhân chính dẫn đến hạ đường huyết ở bệnh nhân tiểu đường. Các loại thuốc có nguy cơ gây hạ đường huyết bao gồm Chlorpropamide, glimepiride (Amaryl), Repaglinide (Prandin), Sitagliptin (Januvia)… Làm việc, tập luyện quá sức Tình trạng làm việc căng thẳng, thức khuya, ngủ không đủ giấc trong thời gian dài cũng là những nguyên nhân gây huyết áp thấp thường gặp. Bên cạnh đó, việc tập luyện quá sức mà không ăn uống dẫn đến không đủ lượng Glucose cho cơ bắp sử dụng cũng có thể khiến cơ thể bị hạ huyết áp. Làm việc quá sức khiến đường huyết bị giảm gây mệt mỏi Nguyên nhân khác Các nguyên nhân như mất cân bằng nội tiết tố, rối loạn hệ tiêu hóa hoặc uống rượu khi để bụng đói,... cũng có thể gây hạ đường huyết. 4. Các triệu chứng của hạ đường huyết Khi lượng đường huyết trong cơ thể xuống thấp quá mức cho phép, tức là dưới 70 mg/dL, cơ thể sẽ có các biểu hiện như nhức đầu, run rẩy, chóng mặt, mệt mỏi, dễ cáu gắt,... Trong những trường hợp lượng đường giảm quá nhiều, người bệnh có thể bị hôn mê và mất ý thức. Lúc này, người thân cần đưa ngay đến bệnh viện để được bác sĩ thăm khám. 5. Đường huyết thấp phải làm sao? 5.1 Cách tăng đường huyết nhanh Khi có dấu hiệu hạ đường huyết hoặc chỉ số đường huyết dưới 70 mg/dL, bạn nên áp dụng phương pháp 15/15. Có nghĩa là bạn nên tiêu thụ khoảng 15g đường với các thực phẩm có thể “cấp cứu” nhanh như kẹo, bánh, socola,... 15 phút sau đó, hãy đo lại lượng đường huyết, nếu vẫn thấp hơn 70 mg, hãy lặp lại phương pháp trên thêm lần nữa.
