Temporary Fencing
Temporary fencing is the most widely used method for protecting construction sites or handling large amounts of people at big events. We are used to seeing them in the line for entering an event such as a concert or sports competition, and we also see them around construction sites. What is the purpose of temporary fencing, and why are they consistently used? What are the rules for using temporary fencing? What are the differences between the available models? Purpose of temporary fencing The reasons for using temporary fencing depend on what you will use it for. Basically, temporary fencing is used in two areas: 1) Construction and 2) Events. Construction. Temporary fencing is vital on construction sites for health and safety reasons. If you start thinking of the number of risks a construction site has for people passing by and neighbours, you will quickly realise how vital the temporary fencing is. For instance, consider the risks associated with: - Demolition of existing structures - Excavations - Slips, trips and falls - Temporary electrical installations - Partially constructed structures - Stored construction materials - On-site plant and equipment An accident-related to any of these areas can easily make your company responsible if you did not have the proper temporary fencing in place. You want to have the proper protection for your construction site to prevent unauthorised people going in to steal or even kids going in for "fun". If you are responsible for a construction project, you are responsible for securing the area to protect neighbours and others from the community. To successfully prevent access from unauthorised people to your construction site, you need temporary fencing that is unbreakable. It is not easy to find secure temporary fencing, but there are products out there such as No Thru™ temporary fencing that guarantee an unbreakable temporary fencing system. This is key to comply with strict governmental regulations. For example, on Victoria's government site, the Construction site security fencing - WorkSafe lists the requirements for proper temporary fencing in construction sites. Under security fencing, you will see this on the second bullet point. Well-constructed — gates and joints in fence sections should be securely connected, without any weak points for entry Weak points are a common issue in temporary fencing. Usually, to break through the fencing, all it takes is to remove the top bracket, lift the fence panel from the foot, and open the temporary fencing system. Fortunately, No Thru™ temporary fencing has solved the issue by removing the top bracket and having it all locked up on the foot. Therefore, the No Thru™ products provide you with a regulation-compliant solution for your construction site. Events. Temporary fencing is also vital for concerts, political events, and even iconic sports events such as Formula 1 Grand Prix. The number of people who attend big events requires temporary fencing to control people's flow, prevent unauthorised access to certain areas, and protect spectators from any possible danger such as car crashes in a Formula 1 race. Did you know that there are more than 300,000 people in attendance for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne over a four-day period? The popular Formula 1 race involves racing cars competing on a closed public street circuit in Albert Park, reaching speeds of 320 km/h or more! Of course, a spectacle like this requires temporary fencing to protect the health and security of the participants and the spectators. It poses a logistic challenge to secure the area effectively, without allowing anyone to cross the barriers but also making it temporary and friendly for the environment. The Formula 1 Grand Prix event is just an example to prove the importance of high-quality temporary fencing. However, it is still a particular event with its own set of regulations, as you can see on their latest 2016 regulations from the Victoria government site. Other events such as concerts have different challenges, people are usually a lot more excited, and their behaviour can be sometimes unpredictable. Guaranteeing safety is the biggest concern for the company organizing the event but also preventing people from accessing the event without paying. Just as was mentioned for construction sites, standard temporary fencing is at risk of being breached easily by removing the top bracket. Therefore, the No Thru™ temporary fencing becomes the recommended method to prevent this from happening. How does it work? The No Thru™ temporary fencing system contains a locking element on the right-hand side of the foot and a brace on the left-hand side. The lock and the brace prevents the fence panel from being lifted. The brace also has another purpose: to stop the foot from rotating and creating a gate or opening to the fence. The No Thru™ system also provides you with options to define your access points. Since the fence panels are locked from lifting, there is no way to create other openings besides the ones that you want. Therefore, there is no need for monitoring all the perimeter of your temporary fencing. You can just rely on the boundaries you created to provide security to participants and spectators. What are the options available? Lee Brothers Fencing is an option for big events. They even supplied fencing for the 2016 Grand Prix of Formula 1. However, there is the danger of having weak points on their fences. They do not use No Thru™ temporary fencing system, and therefore the top bracket can easily be taken off and the fences breached. No Thru™ temporary fencing is obviously the best option for securing your construction site or event. With their unique lock and brace on the foot, no one will be able to breach your fences, and you will enjoy the peace of mind that everything will be secured, your tools on a construction site, or your dear clients of a big event. If you are still unsure what temporary fencing system to use, contact No Thru™ at +61 401 66 8478 and discuss your concerns with their team. Their vast experience will guide you in your selecting the best temporary fencing for your needs. 5 BEST SWAPPER OR BARTER APP
Bartering is an ancient practice in which people trade goods and services for other things that they need. It has been used throughout history, and continues today in many parts of the world. Have you ever thought of switching your unused items for something better or useful? You can easily swap items in the online market with a single click on your phone. Online swapping is a great way to get new items without having to spend any money. And also you could end up with something worth way more than the item you swapped. You can get so many different items through the exchange, including old clothes, tables, cups, electronic gadgets, etc. The old clothes you no longer need can easily be exchanged for any other items, so this is a good thing to do. When you swap, your items won't end up in the trash. Instead, they will end up in second-hands. Online swapping sites provide their users with free access to a wide variety of stuff. Swapping became popular because it allows you to easily trade with the local community or even overseas. The biggest advantage of online swapping is its simplicity. This means people can easily communicate with each other and close deals, and there is no profit in this system since we don't spend a penny on swapping apps. Here are the 5 best sites for swapping stuff online. Helloswapper The Helloswapper swapping app is my favorite among the other four swapping apps. Because it is a new application that gives more focus to swapping and it has a lot of useful features. In this case, people only have to use the swapping option, which is free of charge. There is also a feature where you can donate stuff to a community. Here you can post pretty much everything like mobile accessories, fashion, jewellery, gadgets, jobs, services, and more. It's a premium barter system that helps you swap items quickly and easily. Just take a clear picture of your product and give it a nice description, then post it. It only takes some simple steps and you will get tons of items to swap. Using helloswapper, you can list your swap items conveniently. Depop Depop is the easiest platform to sell your stuff online and also can swap items through this application. One can easily approach anyone and barter with them. If they are okay with swapping, you can communicate and agree on that deal. If you are selling anything you can fix the deal with a fair price and close it. If you are swapping through depop make sure that you are covered with their protection policy. There will be a BUY button when you are arranging a swap, don’t forget to click that. Doing this step ensures that your transactions are covered with buyer protection. When you list the items on your stores at the same price and you buy each other's stuff, you'll be covered by Depop's buyer protection, so if the item doesn't arrive, you'll essentially get your money back. TradeMade Trademade is a swapping website where you can post all kinds of stuff including books, toys, furniture, electronics, and more. TradeMade also offers services like tutoring, cleaning, and running errands. There is a filtering option that lets you filter it by category, location, and browse. You can request a swap option for the person if you find something you want. They may accept it and you can contact the swapping person directly and deal with the sale directly. Vinted Vinted is also a swapping site but more intended for selling and buying. Vinted is an effective buying and selling software and it also has offers for exchanging clothes for women, men, and kids. Whenever you see a dress on this site that you like and you see a swap symbol in it, the seller is ready to swap. If you are willing to swap clothes on vinted, you will need to get in touch with that person to agree on which item you have to swap. And set the same price for your items and buy each other things. You will get the money back from the other seller, so it works out as a swapping system. Rehash In rehash, you can easily swap your clothes and other accessories and it also helps to make new friends and helps to save the environment. You can post a picture of the swapping items and set a perfect description of the thing. And you will also get the option that; you can name some other things that you are looking for an exchange. You can also view other people’s offerings and communicate them for swapping. And once you agree to the swap you can either purchase it from the swapping person or whatever you are okay with it. Last Word Swapping stuff online is always a better option for everyone. We can trade a something for another item that we are using for a long time instead of trying to squeeze our money out of a tight budget to buy a laptop, phone, or any other valuable item. Bartering has several benefits. In the first place, it reduces the cost of doing business by eliminating upfront payments. The second benefit is that it promotes community building. When people trade with each other, they become friends and build relationships. Third, it reduces inflation by encouraging spending locally. You will be able to establish a connection with some people through direct communication, and by swapping you will also be able to reduce waste, which is good for the environment. In other words, if you have anything that needs to be exchanged, consider using these apps and selectively swapping your old stuff for new.
Nearly 2,000 evacuated after Indonesia's Mount Semeru erupts
Indonesia’s Mount Semeru erupted on Sunday, blanketing roads and homes in volcanic ash and prompting evacuations of nearly 2,000 residents in East Java province, according to authorities in the country. A statement Sunday from Indonesia’s disaster management agency (BNPB) said no injuries or deaths have so far been reported and evacuees have taken shelter in public facilities, including village halls and schools. More than 20,000 face masks have been handed out to mitigate respiratory health risks from volcanic ash, it added. Mount Semeru, which lies around 640 kilometers (400 miles) southeast of the capital Jakarta, began erupting at 2:46 a.m. local time Sunday (2:46 p.m. ET Saturday), according to BNPB. Videos shared by BNPB showed nearby villages covered in gray ash. Indonesia’s Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation, PVMBG, said in a statement the alert level of volcanic activity had been raised to the highest Level 4. The agency warned residents to stay at least 17 kilometers (10.5 miles) away from Semeru’s eruption center, adding that volcanic ash had reached as far as 12 kilometers (7.4 miles) from the epicenter. Japan’s Meteorological Agency said the plume from the eruption reached 15 kilometers (about 49,200 feet) into the air. The agency said in a statement Sunday there had been no tsunami impact following the eruption. Indonesia, an archipelago of 270 million people, sits on the “Ring of Fire,” a band around the Pacific Ocean that sets off frequent earthquakes and volcanic activity. Standing at 3,676 meters (12,060 feet), Mount Semeru is the tallest volcano on Java – and one of its most active ones. More than 50 people were killed and thousands more displaced when it erupted last year. Compared to the 2021 eruption, PVMBG chief Hendra Gunawan said the agency saw the potential for a larger volume of magma from the eruption Sunday. “Therefore Semeru’s hot clouds could reach further (this year) and at that distance there are many residences,” he said. The eruption in East Java on Sunday follows a series of earthquakes on the west of the island, including one last month that killed more than 300 people. The deadly November quake that hit West Java’s Cianjur was a shallow temblor of 5.6 magnitude. A much deeper quake on Saturday in the town of Garut of 6.1 magnitude sent people running from buildings but did not cause major damage. Iran's attorney general: Hijab law is under review
Iran’s Attorney General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri said Thursday that Iran’s parliament and judiciary are reviewing the country’s mandatory hijab law, according to pro-reform outlet Entekhab. Montazeri was also quoted as saying Iran’s feared morality police had been “abolished” but Iranian state media strongly pushed back on those comments, saying the interior ministry oversees the force, not the judiciary. CNN is reaching out to the Ministry of Interior for comment. The wearing of a hijab in public is currently mandatory for women in Iran under strict Islamic law that is enforced by the country’s so-called morality police. The laws around the head covering sparked a nationwide protest movement after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died in police custody after being apprehended by the morality police allegedly for not wearing her hijab properly. Her death on September 16 touched a nerve in the Islamic Republic, with prominent public figures coming out in support of the movement, including top Iranian actor Taraneh Alidoosti. The country has been gripped by a wave of mass protests that were first ignited by Amini’s death and have since coalesced around a range of grievances with the regime. Authorities have unleashed a deadly crackdown on demonstrators, with reports of forced detentions and physical abuse being used to target the country’s Kurdish minority group. In a recent CNN investigation, covert testimony revealed sexual violence against protesters, including boys, in Iran’s detention centers since the start of the unrest. On the hijab law, Montazeri said, “We know you feel anguished when you witness [women] without a hijab in cities, do you think the officials are silent about it? As someone who is in the field of this issue, I say that both the parliament and the judiciary are working, for example, just yesterday we had a meeting with the cultural commission of the parliament, and you will see the results within the next week or two,” as quoted by ISNA, state-affiliated media. But there is no evidence of what, if any, changes could be forthcoming to the law, which came into effect after the Islamic Revolution in 1979. said that the Guidance Patrol has been shut,” Al-Alam said Sunday afternoon. “Some foreign media have attempted to interpret these words by the prosecutor-general as the Islamic Republic retreating from the issue of Hijab and modesty and claim that it is due to the recent riots.” The remarks were uttered in Qom, considered a holy city in Siha Islam.
