WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DOING A JUICE CLEANSE?

It’s a sure fact that a juice cleanse makes you feel amazing. Three days, five days... and you can feel the health benefits. Increased energy, improved sleep, glowing skin, reduced cravings, the list goes on. Juice detoxes and fasts have been around for hundreds of years, and they work! So if you live in Melbourne, Geelong, Canberra or any of their other locations, Juice Culture can supply a juice cleanse to you!

The benefits:
1. Rest your digestive system
2. Boost your energy levels
3. Reduce your inflammation
4. Promotes weight-loss
5. Improve your sleep

GIVE YOUR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM A REST

Our bodies need rest. When we get tired, we go to sleep. When we are feeling stressed, we find a place to relax. What about our digestive system? Every day we consume many meals, and our bodies are constantly needing to digest what we eat. Digestion is an active process requiring blood flow and energy to break down the food we eat. At times we may not feel quite right internally. That could be because our digestive system needs an opportunity to heal and recharge.

Do you feel bloated? Have irritated bowels? A juice cleanse can assist in resetting our gut. Drinking cold-pressed juice, rich in fruits and vegetables, greatly reduces the amount of stress and work that our gut experiences. We also replenishing our gut by supplying it with vitamins and other critical nutrients. Resting our gut for 3 to 5 days will give it a chance to get back on top of its game.

BOOST YOUR ENERGY LEVELS

Feeling low on energy? Within just one or two days of juice cleansing, you will start to feel a difference. Day two is often known as the 'honeymoon' day, where you experience inner calm and feel the energy boost from the juices.

As you consume the cold-pressed goodness, your body is filled with nutrients and vitamins, creating lasting energy. It is very different from the rollercoasters of sugar and caffeine, and this energy is stable and enduring. The enzymes in the fruits and vegetables are unleashed from the fibre, allowing them to be rapidly absorbed into your body. After only 15 minutes of consuming a detox blend, you will feel the boost.

REDUCE THAT INFLAMMATION!

Scientific studies have emphasised that juice cleanses, along with other plant-based foods greatly reduce inflammation in the body. We live in a time when processed foods, dairy, alcohol, and meat cause significant inflammation. Detoxing gets rid of these outside toxins, cutting the supply at the source, then adds the rich nutrients of cold-pressed juice. This enters you into a zone of optimal toxin removal and body repair. Here at Juice Culture, we specialise in cleansing with Ginger, Tumeric, and Cayenne which increases the anti-inflammatory results you experience. Check out Juice Culture's High Shot rich in these ingredients.

DOES A JUICE CLEANSE HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT?

While not the primary reason one would undertake a juice cleanse, weight loss is a pleasing by-product. Not only is a significant drop in weight noticed over such a short time, but juice cleansing can also kick us into healthy eating habits! After completing the cleanse, you will feel clean due to toxin removal. This will motivate you to be more focused on eating what is good for your body. During a cleanse, you remove processed food, harmful fats, and refined carbs. What are you replacing them with? The valuable nutrients in cold-pressed juice.

It is not hard to see how you will naturally lose weight doing a juice cleanse. Of course, part of this weight loss is excess water, but if you can maintain a good diet following your cleanse, you will maintain the weight loss!

WILL A JUICE CLEANSE HELP YOU SLEEP BETTER?

Juicing naturally lowers cortisol levels which cause stress and anxiety - the things that often keep one up at night! The majority of people undertaking a juice cleanse report a significant improvement in their sleep. In addition, when you have been avoiding all of those unhealthy junky snacks, it is amazing how your body rewards your efforts.

WHAT ABOUT HYDRATION?

Studies show that more than 50% of people are dehydrated, consuming less than the daily six glasses of water. Consuming low sugar cold-pressed juice assists the body to function more efficiently, remove toxins, and build up energy. You might be surprised to know it is vital to continue drinking water throughout the day during a juice cleanse to assist in keeping all fluids in your body moving. Taking in water will enable those nutrients and vitamins to get where they need to be in your body to transform how you look and feel.

Liposuction Vs. Non-Surgical Fat Removal
Many cosmetic surgery patients are concerned about areas of unwanted, diet- and exercise-resistant fat. Localized fat can be difficult to get rid of permanently, whether it appears as a persistent stomach "pooch" after pregnancy, areas of fat around the thighs that won't budge, or bulges along the flanks and back. For many years, liposuction has been one of the most popular and frequently performed cosmetic procedures, and for good reason. This surgical procedure reduces fat and refines body contours in a safe, effective, and permanent manner. Nonsurgical or minimally invasive alternatives to liposuction have grown in popularity in recent years. These body contouring treatments usually do not require an incision or anaesthesia, and they have a shorter recovery time. Continue reading to learn about the differences between the two fat-loss methods and to determine which one is best for you. What exactly is liposuction? Liposuction is a surgical fat removal procedure that rose to prominence in the 1980s. A board-certified cosmetic surgeon carefully and precisely removes excess fat during the procedure using a small, hollow tube called a cannula. As the surgeon moves the cannula through the fat deposit, suction is applied, removing excess fat cells and sculpting a slimmer body contour. Liposuction is especially useful for removing fat from the legs, abdomen, back, arms, face, and neck. It produces more dramatic results than other noninvasive fat reduction procedures; however, it requires a recovery period of about four weeks and is typically more expensive than nonsurgical alternatives. CoolSculpting®, BodyTite®, and Other Nonsurgical Procedures: How Do They Work? Nonsurgical fat reduction treatments employ a variety of modalities to target and eliminate unwanted fat cells via a topical, rather than surgical, procedure. Nonsurgical body contouring treatments that are popular include: CoolSculpting. Allergan's CoolSculpting is a good choice for people who are close to their ideal weight but want to reduce small, localised trouble spots on the hips, abdomen, or thighs. A specialised cryolipolysis device is used in this treatment to cool unwanted fat cells to the point of death without affecting surrounding tissues. Fat cells that have died are flushed from the body in the days and weeks following the procedure. After three months, the final result is visible. TruSculpt. Cutera's truSculpt treatment is similar in that it uses controlled radiofrequency technology to eliminate fat cells on the hips, thighs, buttocks, and abdomen. The average treatment lasts about an hour, and most patients require one to two treatments to see noticeable results. BodyTite. BodyTite by inMode is a minimally invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to tighten skin and reduce unwanted fat deposits. An internal probe delivers thermal energy to help melt fat and strengthen collagen bands beneath the skin's surface, while an external applicator delivers radiofrequency energy to the skin for additional tightening. BodyTite is considered minimally invasive because a small incision is required to insert the internal applicator probe by your surgeon; however, it is a less invasive procedure than liposuction. BodyTite is an excellent choice for people who have small to moderate amounts of excess fat and loose skin and want to avoid the extensive downtime associated with surgery. Most patients report seeing results within a few days, with final results appearing after 2 to 3 weeks. Patients can expect to see continued skin tightening in the months following their procedure because BodyTite stimulates collagen production in the skin. SmartLipo. SmartLipo by Cynosure, also known as “laser liposuction,” is a non-surgical procedure that uses triple wavelength laser technology to remove unwanted fat around the muscles and tighten loose, sagging skin. SmartLipo's laser gets to work dissolving body and/or facial fat, which your body then processes and excretes naturally. To remove any excess liquid that may accumulate during the procedure, a very small tube is inserted into the treatment area. SmartLipo is ideal for areas of the face that traditional liposuction cannot adequately address, such as the jowls, chin, jaw, and neck, due to the small tube used. SmartLipo is also excellent for contouring areas of the body that retain stubborn fat, such as the abs, back, flanks, thighs, buttocks, and upper arms. Because SmartLipo is less invasive than liposuction, there is less tissue damage at the treatment sites. The results of SmartLipo treatment are visible immediately, and there is little downtime required. SculpSure. SculpSure by Cynosure is a non-invasive laser body contouring treatment that removes unwanted fat beneath the chin (submental fat), love handles, the back, the stomach, and the inner and outer thighs. SculpSure, like CoolSculpting and truSculpt, is ideal for patients who are nearing their ideal weight but want to reduce stubborn, exercise- and diet-resistant fat pockets. Unlike CoolSculpting, which freezes fat cells, SculpSure uses heat to destroy fat cells (a process known as apoptosis). SculpSure has been shown in studies to be effective at permanently removing up to 24 percent of fat cells in a treated area. A series of 25-minute treatments is beneficial to the majority of patients. Nonsurgical Fat Reduction vs. Liposuction Both liposuction and nonsurgical body contouring have advantages and disadvantages. Invasiveness Liposuction is a more aggressive method of fat removal that causes trauma in the treatment area. For up to 10 days after the procedure, patients will experience soreness, bruising, and swelling. CoolSculpting, truSculpt, and SculpSure treatments are typically gentle and cause little discomfort during and after treatment. Results Although the final result of liposuction is not visible until 6 months after the swelling has subsided and the treated area has healed. CoolSculpting and other noninvasive fat reduction treatments take longer to produce results, which become more visible in the weeks and months following the procedure. While neither liposuction nor nonsurgical body contouring treatments can replace weight loss, liposuction does provide more dramatic and longer-lasting results, as well as some skin shrinkage. Downtime The healing process after liposuction necessitates that patients limit their daily activities for several days following the procedure and exercise with caution. CoolSculpting, truSculpt, and SculpSure do not require a lengthy recovery period, and patients can resume normal activities right away, though mild soreness and swelling are to be expected. Though the results of nonsurgical fat reduction will be less noticeable, you will be able to return to work and resume your life much sooner. Is Liposuction or Nonsurgical Body Contouring the Best Option for Me? For larger deposits of excess fat, liposuction may be an excellent option. It has the potential to significantly improve your figure in multiple areas at the same time. Some disadvantages include a higher cost and a higher risk of health complications when compared to noninvasive techniques. If you are already at your ideal weight, have good skin elasticity, and want to target smaller, stubborn trouble spots, nonsurgical fat reduction may be a better option. The results, however, will not be as dramatic, and multiple treatments may be required. Making an Appointment for Liposuction or Nonsurgical Fat Removal The best way to decide between liposuction, CoolSculpting, truSculpt, BodyTite, and other non-invasive fat reduction procedures is to consult with a board certified cosmetic surgeon. During a personalised cosmetic surgery consultation, they can walk you through your options and help you decide which is the best fit for you.
6 Easy Ways To A Smooth Neck
Because the skin on your neck is some of the thinnest on your body, it is also one of the first places to show signs of ageing. Here are six ways to make your neck look younger and address everything from sun damage to sagging on this delicate area. 1. WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY SINGLE DAY. Your dermatologist will agree that a nickel-sized amount of sunscreen applied to your neck and chest every day will help prevent collagen breakdown and the formation of sunspots. Don't forget to massage the sides and back of your neck. 2. MAINTAIN YOUR SKIN'S MOISTURIZATION. Again, the skin on your neck is thinner and has fewer oil glands than the rest of your body, so keeping the area hydrated is essential for a smoother overall texture. Look for peptide-containing creams (which can help stimulate new collagen growth) and apply them in gentle, upward strokes from your chest to your jawline. 3. RECLAIM YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP. Do you always wake up with pillow lines on the side of your neck? Apply one of these silicone patches before going to bed to keep your skin from crinkling while you sleep. You'll wake up with a smoother neck and less chance of further damage. 4. FOCUS ON CORRECT POSTURE. The amount of time we spend looking down at our phones and screens has resulted in what we now refer to as "tech neck." The simplest solution would be to limit screen time entirely, but more realistically, you should keep everything as close to eye level as possible to avoid unnecessary wrinkling. 5. GIVE LASER TREATMENTS A GO AHEAD. Still have fine lines on your neck? Fraxel lasers, stimulate your body's natural repair process to promote collagen growth. Fraxel can also be used to treat any dark spots or broken capillaries in the area, giving you a more even complexion. 6. ULTRASOUND TREATMENT FOR SERIOUS REPAIR. Ultherapy or Ultracel is your best non-surgical option for deeper, more stubborn lines and sagging. The FDA-approved treatment uses heat generated by focused sonic waves to penetrate deeper into the skin and stimulate the production of new collagen. Take note that the effect is gradual, and most patients notice a lifting effect three to six months after the initial treatment, so be patient.
BCAAS: The Building Blocks of Muscle.
As we all know from basic biology, Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Muscles size cannot grow without them. Vitaminhaat® L-Arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid and is a precursor for the production of Nitric Oxide. L-Arginine has been shown to promote increased nitric oxide which supports muscle development and recovery. amino acid build muscles. Branched-chain amino acids, or BCAAs, are a special group of amino acids. They are some of the most proven athletic supplements one can take for direct assimilation. The benefits of BCAAs includes less muscle fatigue, higher levels of other free amino acids, faster recovery and better protein absorption. Not getting enough of them can lead to muscle loss. Let’s take a closer look at how these supplements work and why you should include BCAA supplementation in your workout stack regimen. If your goal is to lose fat and transform your body, Vitaminhaat L-Carnitine would be a great addition to your weight loss supplement stack. Amino Acids Proteins are synthesized from long strings of molecules called amino acids. Amino acids have many functions in our Body: Build new cells and repair tissues Create energy Take part in the enzyme and hormone system Build RNA and DNA the building blocks of life Synthesize antibodies to fight against infections Carry oxygen throughout the body Amino acids are needed to build muscle, red blood cells, and hundreds of other molecules. The human body can produce all except 9 of them, which you have to get through your diet or supplementation. You can get them from eating protein or taking amino acid supplements. The group of 9 amino acids the body can't produce are called essential amino acids. These include isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, histidine, and valine. Non-Essential Amino Acids Alanine Arginine Asparagine Aspartic Acid Cysteine Glutamic Acid Glutamine Glycine Ornithine Proline Serine Tyrosine Essential Amino Acids Histidine Isoleucine Leucine Lysine Methionine Phenylalanine Threonine Tryptophan Valine Branched-Chain Amino Acids The branched-chain amino acids are a group of three essential amino acids: Leucine Isoleucine Valine The branched-chain group is different from other essential amino acids in that they are mostly metabolized in skeletal muscle instead of the liver. [Week 1] Monday & Friday - Rest Day Recipes (Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie)
You've got to love a training plan that starts off with a rest day! Since Tuesday will be my first long distance run, I want to make great post-run meals ahead of time since I'll probably be too tired once I get home. I'll be making a Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie since it has complex carbs AND protein. Plus its chocolate peanut butter...hello! Here’s the protein breakdown of my new favorite smoothie: 6 oz greek yogurt → 18 grams 3/4 cup skim milk → 6 grams 1 Tablespoon natural peanut butter → 4 grams The yogurt adds a ton of protein to the shake and should be pretty easy on your stomach, which can be sensitive after a run. Here's the recipe, enjoy! Ingredients: 1 large banana, peeled, sliced, and frozen 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 6 oz Chobani 0% Greek Yogurt (or 2%, flavored or unflavored) 3/4 cup skim milk (or your favorite kind of nondairy or dairy milk) 1 Tablespoon honey, maple syrup, or agave 1 Tablespoon peanut butter (any kind you like) Directions: Put all of the ingredients into the blender, in the order listed, and blend on high until thick and smooth. I would start with only 2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder, blend, and then add 1 more for a stronger chocolate taste. You may need to stop and stir/scrape down the sides of the blender a few times. Drizzle glass with 1 teaspoon of chocolate syrup (optional) and enjoy! If you prefer a less sweet smoothie, you may leave out the honey. Add more peanut butter for a stronger peanut butter taste. Add more milk to make the smoothie thinner, if desired. Add 1 cup of your favorite greens for added nutrition.
How COVID-19 Impacted on Oral Care in Healthcare Industry ?
COVID-19 Impact on Oral Care in Healthcare Industry OVERVIEW The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a complex challenge in front of several healthcare companies and proved to be an unprecedented global health threat. This global pandemic has emerged in December 2019 which has been proved as a global pandemic by WHO in March 2020. With the development and introduction of novel coronavirus vaccine, COVID-19 cases have been declined but with the development of mutant coronavirus strain, the overall COVID-19 cases have been surged and are increasing at a rapid rate in India, and the U.K, and other European countries. The most common symptoms associated with this include cough, fever, diarrhea, sore throat, and loss of smell or taste. Patients affected with COVID-19 are at increased risk of developing hepatic manifestations and also experiences damage to liver tissues. COVID-19 has led to the closure and reduced hours of dental practices except for emergency and urgent services, limiting routine care and prevention. Dental care includes aerosol-generating procedures that can increase viral transmission. The pandemic offers an opportunity for the dental profession to shift more toward non-aerosolizing, prevention-centric approaches to care and away from surgical interventions. Direct effects of COVID-19 on oral health include ageusia (an official symptom of COVID-19) and case reports of vesiculobullous lesions and necrotizing periodontal disease. oral care product has a wide portfolio such as breath Fresheners, Mouth Wash, Dental Floss, among other products. The Article here shows the impact of COVID-19 on the oral care market. IMPACT ON PRICE As the mouth is an important place for bacterial colonization due to which it is necessary to use the product for oral hygiene. With the sudden increase in COVID-19 cases, people's concerns for better health had also increased and the link between oral health and COVID-19 infection also expand the health to oral. As India relies on China for 70% of API’s intermediates and bulk ingredients, COVID -19 is expected to hike the price of the ingredient used for an oral care product For instance, · In the year 2021, As Proctor & Gamble announced the third-quarter result in which the net sales increase by 5 %, and also mentioned that they are planning for a price hike in certain product divisions. This step is taken seeking to recover the revenue loss during COVID-19. · According to GlaxoSmithKline plc, the cost of dental consultation and treatment was cited as the concerning factor IMPACT ON DEMAND The coronavirus has affected the various regions of the world and caused the widespread closure of companies and local manufacturing plants. This lockdown and isolation have adversely impacted global economic activity. As studies around the world have shown the improving oral hygiene is expected to increase the chance of generating demand for the product. THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 INFECTION ON ORAL CARE The rising awareness of oral hygiene COVID-19 has increased the demand for a product requires for oral care as the increasing studies for SARS-COV-2 indicated that proper oral hygiene has been reported to decrease the chances of infection which increases the demand for mouth wash, oral povidone solution, novel gargle solution. · However, due to restrictions and aims to reduce COVID-19 transmission, 30% of respondents had visited a dentist less frequently during the pandemic The second cause of increasing demand for oral care products is that approximately 90% of the product used in oral care are over the counter which can be added as the plus point in maintaining the demand for oral care products. The market players in oral care are also focused on the research to bring novel products to interstate commerce. For instance, · Microbac Laboratories, an independent and internationally accredited testing facility worked on behalf of Unilever Research Laboratories, has found that rinsing with mouthwash containing CPC Technology for 30 seconds is effective in reducing the viral load of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, by 99.9%. This type of research surge the demand for the oral product · Colgate-Palmolive President mentioned in an interview that they have seen elevated demand for oral care related to viruses, which also boosted the innovative growth related to a premium product This suggests that the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 poses precautionary measures due to which the global population started to take concern for their health hence enhance the demand for oral care. This thus signifies that COVID-19 is accelerating the demand of the oral care market. IMPACT ON SUPPLY The COVID 19 pandemic has affected and badly disrupted the global drug supply chain due to the continuous shut down of manufacturing facilities and restrictions imposed by the government over import and export activities. As per global sources, it was found that the beauty care business is still facing a crisis due to COVID-19. However, oral care market players are in a strong position. The two main leaders Colgate-Palmolive and Johnson and Johnson had seen a lift in sales in Q1 2020. Colgate-Palmoliva has net sales of USD 415 million for Q3 2020, up by 5.5% from the previous year. The surge of demand for oral care increased during COVID-19 however, the global restriction, and state-wise travel restriction has caused challenges for the market player. Moreover, there are many local players also in the oral care market that continued to fulfill the demand in case of any disruption. Oral care is categorized under essential need products which leads to the easy flow of these products. The main challenges during the pandemic is the supply of API’s and Ingredient or excipient used in toothpaste, as China holds the major share in API’s and other chemicals used in oral care and global restriction has somehow affected the supply chain for these products too. This, thus signifies that due to continuous lockdown and several restrictions by government authorities the companies and patients are facing disruption of the supply chain for oral care. However, oral care is categorized under essential care which lowers the effect of supply chain disruption during COVID-19. STRATEGIC DECISIONS OF MANUFACTURERS Collaboration, agreements, strategic initiatives, product launches by market players such as Colgate Palmolive, Hindustan Unilever among others in the oral care market will help them to expand their product portfolio and to provide appropriate products to the consumer. This in turn will lead to increased product sales and hence will put a positive impact on the overall company’s revenue. Oral Care product manufacturing companies are taking so many strategic decisions to cope up with the current scenario of COVID-19. The companies engaged in the manufacturing of toothpaste, mouth wash, gargle solutions among others are adopting several initiatives to accelerate the development of newer products and efficiently supply the product to different end-users. Companies have done collaboration and product launches between 2019 -2020 which supports the sustainable growth in the oral care market For instance, · In September 2020, Colgate Palmolive launched as first-ever vedshakti mouth protect spray, seeking their focus on oral hygiene during COVID-19. · Hindustan Unilever also planned to launch a mouth wash with 99 % in reducing SARS-COV-2 virus and has recently shared the preliminary data. · In April 2020, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (India) merged with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), with HUL responsible for the distribution of GSK’s Consumer Healthcare brands in India, including its leading oral healthcare brand, Sensodyne. · In April 2020, Perrigo Company plc (Ireland) completed the acquisition of the oral care assets of High Ridge Brands (US), which includes Dr. Fresh, LLC. · In December 2019, Colgate-Palmolive Company launched Colgate Optic White Renewal Tooth Paste. · In 2020, Colgate-Palmolive comes up with a recyclable toothpaste tube which will increase the interest of the population and surge the demand for the product leading to growth in revenue of the company Thus, companies operating in the oral care market are adopting several strategies, including collaboration, agreements, acquisition, and market expansion to enhance their business. These strategic decisions by the companies are expected to provide significant opportunities for the market players operating in the oral care market. CONCLUSION As the pandemic of COVID-19 has resulted in several restrictions throughout the borders but still, manufacturers of oral care can manage their stocks. Various manufacturers have allowed their manufacturers to work in a clean and safe environment to boost up the production of oral care categorized under essential need products at various manufacturing facilities across several regions of the world helping them to maintain a continuous supply chain. However, a decrease in doctor’s visit has impacted the market but the majority of products used in oral care are over the counter product which leads to continuous demand for oral care, and by raising the prices the companies are gaining extra profit which is helping them to combat the negative effect on overall revenue.
How COVID-19 Impacted on Niemann-Pick Disease in Healthcare Industry ?
COVID-19 Impact on Niemann-Pick Disease in Healthcare Industry OVERVIEW A novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, appeared in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, spreading much faster than its predecessors and has already infected millions of patients worldwide as of April 19, 2020. As the scope of the current COVID-19 outbreak has reached the proportion of pandemics, significant international efforts in public health are underway to control the epidemic. The covid-19 pandemic majorly impacted the rare diseases patients because, during the pandemic, the need to provide high-level care for a large number of patients with COVID-19 has affected resourcing and limited the routine maintenance of all other conditions. The impact of health emergencies particularly faced by the rare disease communities, organizations, clinics, and other healthcare providers. The health economic challenges faced by patients and their families, institutions, research organizations, and healthcare providers during the pandemic outbreak have demonstrated the importance of ensuring continuity of care in the management of rare diseases, including adequate diagnostics and monitoring protocols, and highlighted the need for a structured emergency strategy. Niemann-Pick disease is a rare, inherited disease that affects majorly body's ability to metabolize fats such as cholesterol and lipids within the cells. Over time, these cells got malfunctioned and died. The disease can affects the brain, spleen, nerves and, if get severe, may affect lungs, bone marrow, and other organs. The disease can occur at any age but majorly affects children. There is no known cure for the disease, and sometimes it may be fatal for children, the only treatment is focused on helping people live with their symptoms. IMPACT ON PRICE Various market players are facing a large number of challenges due to the coming of the novel coronavirus and different strains; one such issue is the uncertainty surrounding the impact of covid-19 on off label drugs demands. Due to the increased coronavirus cases and continuous lockdown, the costs of the drugs and their APIs increase automatically. On the one side, it will increase the revenue of the companies, but a patient may resist buying the products, which ultimately increases the stress level on the patients. Moreover, Due to the pandemic, there is the delay associated with various types of limitations faced by the manufacturers to fulfill the end product order, which has resulted in the less availability of medical devices in the market and due to which the cost of available devices has increased with the several factors. Also, due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak, manufacturers are forced to find new contract manufacturers and suppliers for more manufacturing activities to different or unique facilities location that are less impacted by the outbreak. The impact of Covid-19 has created huge price impact on the government as well as on patient families that they have to buy the drugs on higher rate as compared to the average rate. IMPACT ON DEMAND The Coronavirus zone is the result of various markets around the world. This is the cause of the widespread closures and isolation that are affecting world economic activity. As the cases increases in the month of April 2020, the sudden surge in demand has seen, and drugs and medical devices went out of stock. Moreover, the decrease in the revenue of the key market players depicted in their quarterly results, such as Medtronic, among others, gave the evidence of decline in the demand for medical devices due to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. For instance, · Medtronic reported a decline of 1% in its brain therapies net sales of the financial results of 2020 as compared to 2019. Acne - What to Eat, What Not to Eat
No matter how much we prevent it, acne can still find its way to form on - or under, or even both - our skin. In most cases the acne is mild and will go away on its own (or quicker if you take some form of acne medication) but it’s also common to see acne breakouts happening so frequently despite a number of medications used - a condition that we know as acne-prone skin. Here’s what you need to know about this skin issue and why it can happen to all of us. Diet for acne-prone skin; what the skin needs? We used to read that acne-prone skin happens mostly among oily skin types and while that can be true, the latest studies and discoveries indicate that acne-prone skin can happen to all of us regardless of skin type. Yes, even dry or sensitive skin type can suffer from an acne problem! This is due to the fact that acne can form due to a number of factors. And in most cases, several factors together cause acne breakouts and not just one single factor. But rest assured, there are several types of acne treatment available to make your skin belmish-free. Since this is a multi-factoral skin issue, dermatologists usually need to prescribe multiple medications and treatments - but the main focus will be on your dietary habits and leading a healthy lifestyle. How does diet affect our skin? The diet plays a big role when it comes to the overall health of our skin. After all, what we eat shows on our skin. For the acne-prone skin, there are some foods that you need to avoid, replacing them with foods that you need to eat instead. Multiple studies have shown that certain food groups cause acne. Refined sugar, also known as high-glycemic carbohydrates, is very inflammatory for acne-prone skin. Carbs and sugar trigger a spike in insulin which is a type of hormone. Excess of this hormone causes the oil glands within the skin to produce more oil and in turn, increases the chance of you getting acne. Other food groups such as dairy and trans-fat are also found to cause acne on our skin but high-glycemic carbohydrates cause the most damage. Since we know these food groups cause acne, replacing them with foods that are known to minimize the chances of your skin developing acne - and the chance of them coming back in the future - is the right way to go. What foods are believed to help your skin? The opposite of high-glycemic carbohydrates is the low-glycemic sources that we know as complex carbohydrates. These are beneficial for the skin. Such foods are high in vitamins A, E, and B vitamins as well as minerals that are beneficial in reducing inflammation. Besides this, they also speed up the skin healing process, and strengthen the skin barrier. This helps your skin to be more resilient and able to heal the acne or even prevent any acne from happening. Examples of foods that are in the complex carbs category include whole grains, fresh fruits and veggies, and legumes. Other food groups that you can add to your diet are protein sources from poultry and fish. Besides this, fatty fish such as salmon and mackerel are good anti-inflammatory foods and beneficial to heal inflamed skin. There’s no specific rule for this diet. Just trying to include them as the major part of your diet is the key to ensure your skin gets enough healthy nutrients to eliminate potential factors that can cause you acne.
How COVID-19 Impacted on Neurorehabilitation Devices in Healthcare Industry ?
COVID-19 Impact on Neurorehabilitation Devices in Healthcare Industry OVERVIEW AFTERMATH OF COVID-19 AND GOVERNMENT ROLE The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic was found in Wuhan, China. This pandemic has influenced the whole planet with its major impacts on the economy and businesses across the globe. The COVID-19 spread worldwide in unprecedented ways due to its high infectious and contagious nature. The virus has spread across all regions ranging from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa up to South America. The COVID-19 has been declared as a pandemic by WHO due to its increased spread across the globe. Various countries announced the complete lockdown just after the declaration of COVID-19 as a pandemic, such as the U.S., India, Germany, and China, to protect them from the spread of the disease. The government imposed lockdown rules, and it had significantly impacted the market. The neurorehabilitation process makes a possible reduction in impairments and disabilities and eventually improves the life of the patient. Examples of neurorehabilitation devices are invasive stimulators, non-invasive stimulators, brain-computer interfaces, and neurorobotics, among others. Current rehabilitation is supported by advanced methods based on biofeedback, transcranial brain stimulation system, and BCI system. The prevalence of neurological diseases, rise in technological advancement, the emergence of robotic rehabilitation, and the effectiveness of gaming systems in neurorehabilitation are factors that are propelling the demand of the global neurorehabilitation devices market. However, the shortage of skilled personnel, the high cost of treatment, stringent government regulation may hamper the global neurorehabilitation devices market. IMPACT ON PRICE Neurological rehabilitation is a program designed for the treatment of people suffering from a disorder or any injury in the nervous system. The devices include non-invasive brain stimulators, robotic neuro systems, brain-computer interfaces, and wearable devices, among others. Due to the pandemic, there is the delay associated with various types of limitations faced by the manufacturers to fulfill the end product order, which has resulted in the less availability of neurorehabilitation devices in the market and due to which the cost of available devices has increased with the several factors. Also, due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak, manufacturers are forced to find new contract manufacturers and suppliers for more manufacturing activities to different or new facilities locations that are less impacted by the outbreak. IMPACT ON DEMAND Neurorehabilitation is an important part of the recovery process that has undergone some brain injury. In the COVID-19 pandemic, various charities have worked effortlessly to provide treatment and support to patients suffering from brain injury. During the pandemic, the demand for neurorehabilitation devices was high, but companies were not able to supply the devices to end-users as various restrictions were imposed by the government, such as a travel ban, closed borders, among others. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a SARS-CoV-2 virus, while a large pool of the population is affected by this COVID-19 virus. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) causes acute respiratory illness ranges from mild to severe pneumonia with respiratory failure. In order to minimize the spread of COVID-19, nearly all the countries have taken action, such as the implementation of lockdown and social distancing restrictions. Due to affirmative restrictions, sudden shrink took place in various surgeries. Moreover, the decrease in the revenue of the key market players depicted in their quarterly results, such as Medtronic, among others, gave evidence of the decline in the demand for the medical device due to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. For instance, · Medtronic reported a decline of 1% in its brain therapies net sales of the financial results of 2020 as compared to 2019. The reduction was largely motivated by the detrimental effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent deferral to companies of medical procedures The decline in revenue of brain therapy suggests the detrimental effect of COVID 19 on the neurorehabilitation devices market and hence impacted the demand-supply concept. IMPACT ON SUPPLY CHAIN The consequences of COVID 19 cannot be underestimated. The product and service providers of neurorehabilitation have made efforts by providing services virtually to meet the demands as people were not frequently visiting the hospitals or clinics for the treatment. The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed many organizations’ business environments; supply availability has been hampered by a number of issues, including export and travel restrictions by some manufacturing countries and lockdowns that have forced suppliers to (temporarily) shut down. In various countries, neurorehabilitation units have reduced their number of beds, in-patients and out-patient neurorehabilitation centers are restricted to a particular area in order to tackle the pandemic situation To manage such a critical situation, many organizations are looking forward to improving and diversifying the supply chain model in all aspects. Diversified supply chain model anticipated minimizing the export of medical devices as well as increase end-to-end visibility STRATEGIC DECISIONS BY MANUFACTURERS As the reality of COVID-19 dawned upon the world, the manufactures and production units of the companies in the global neurorehabilitation devices market swiftly planned for strategies to cope with the effect of the crisis. Major players in the market took various initiatives to cope up with the situation. For instance, · In July 2020, Abbott announced that it had received FDA approval for the use of the Patient Controller App on compatible personal Apple smartphone devices. The approval will allow the patient living with neurological conditions to manage their therapy directly from the personal smartphone · In 2019, Mount Sinai Health System announced an innovative tele-neurorehabilitation program for stroke patients. This therapy can be taken by patients while at their homes with virtual backing from clinicians · In 2020, Esko Bionics Holdings, Inc. announced that it had received FDA 501(k) go-ahead to promote its EksoNRTM robotic exoskeleton for patients with acquired brain injury. It is cleared by FDA for spinal cord injury, stroke, or acquired brain injury rehabilitation These strategies helped the company in coping with the pandemic and ensure business operations, minimize the impact of COVID-19, and providing full support to the government in their efforts to combat the disease and help the front-line workers. CONCLUSION The market is expected to decline due to increased restrictions imposed by various governments leading to the closing of non-emergent healthcare facilities, including procedures such as neurorehabilitation procedures. It can be concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic situation has an adverse impact on the market, affecting the price, supply, and demand of neurorehabilitation devices. However, in the crisis call, market players, government bodies, and healthcare organizations are work closely with healthcare professionals, customers, and patients for the betterment of public health. The increasing need of neurorehabilitation devices with increasing number of neurological diseases is expected to drive the market in coming years.

How to Make Sure Your Neck Never Gives Away Your Age
Your skin care routine is flawless, and your face has never looked more vibrant and glowing. But then you look down to see it - your neck. Your neck, which is frequently affected by wrinkles, bands, and sagging, is one of the first and most visible parts of the body to show signs of ageing. Even using your regular skin care routine on the neck does not always appear to help with these issues. So, what are the best methods for combating and smoothing these age-related fine lines? Surprisingly, the face and the neck are linked; however, the ageing of the neck is slightly different. There are several reasons for this, one of which is that the skin on the neck is extremely thin. It is vulnerable to sun damage. But what distinguishes the neck is that it moves; the neck is a joint, just like your elbow or knee. And we develop creases over our joints over time. Normal skin ageing causes collagen and elastic tissue to break down, which accounts for neck wrinkles and sagging. This typically manifests itself around the mid-20s, and it is exacerbated in those who have had increased exposure to sunlight and pollutants such as cigarette smoke. These creases and bands on the neck have gotten worse in recent decades as a result of a condition known as "tech neck," which is caused by looking down at electronic devices for long periods of time. Neck bands become worse with neck movement, such as moving the neck up and down. They also get deeper when you hold your neck in a downward position while browsing on your phone or working on your laptop. Is there a way to prevent neck ageing? The best solution is to prevent sagging and wrinkles from forming in the first place. It is always easier to prevent damage than it is to repair or rejuvenate it. Sunscreen This product is your best line of defence against wrinkles and other signs of ageing. When choosing a sunscreen, look for one with an SPF of 30 or higher. Sun damage accelerates the appearance of ageing on all parts of the body. Do you already apply sunscreen to your face? Apply the same skin care routine that you use on your face to your neck. Antioxidants Another method of prevention is to use topical treatments and creams containing antioxidants. Ingredients such as vitamin C and E, can help reverse the effects of sunlight and pollution. They also stimulate collagen, reduce fine lines and improve skin elasticity. Retinols Retinols are also beneficial in combating the signs of ageing. If you have sensitive skin and are concerned about the strength, choose a cream that contains Retinyl Palmitate, a ProRetinol that is mild enough for most people. When it comes to stimulating collagen, retinoid creams are an excellent choice. Diet What you eat can also have an impact on how our skin looks. A diet high in antioxidants and low in sugar helps to prevent collagen damage. Weight fluctuation has a significant impact on your neck. If you have a history of yo-yo dieting, this will contribute to neck laxity. The most effective neck wrinkle treatments If you've already developed these unsightly wrinkles and sagging, it may be time to seek treatment. Here are some examples of dermatologist led options... HIFU Ultherapy, which uses ultrasound, penetrates deeper into the skin's layers than creams, stimulating collagen at the deeper layers and preventing sagging neck. Lasers Non-ablative fractionated resurfacing lasers, such as Clear and Brilliant or Fraxel, can help improve your skin's texture. MNRF All radiofrequency microneedling devices stimulate collagen and elastic tissue, which aids in the treatment of horizontal neck bands. If you choose this procedure, keep in mind that it will necessitate multiple treatments. Injectables Another option for filling neck bands and horizontal lines is injectables. Dermal fillers do not treat muscle, but they can help to smooth out fine lines and plump up the skin on the neck, giving it a more youthful appearance. Botox is preferable for bands and neck cords because it softens their appearance by relaxing the muscle.

What Causes Strawberry Legs And How To Get Rid Of It?
Summer is arrived, which means you're most likely showing a little more skin. As our gams finally receive their due, pants become shorts, maxi dresses become minis, and skirts become minis. Short hemlines, on the other hand, may be undesirable to those whose legs are spotted, bumpy, or spotty. Let's learn more about how a dermatologist treats and prevents skin diseases known as "strawberry legs." What Are 'Strawberry Legs,' Exactly? Strawberry legs refers to a dotty appearance of the legs, mainly around the hair follicles. The dots depict the buildup of common skin elements in and around the hair and oil glands. Keratin is a type of protein that is found in (the main protein in the skin) * Melanin is a pigment found in the skin (the source of pigment) * Sebum is a type of oil that is produced by (natural oil of the skin) * Bacteria are microorganisms (often, normal skin flora) The name "strawberry legs" refers to the dark pores and dots or red pimples that emerge on the lower thighs and resemble strawberry seeds. Strawberry legs are not hazardous in terms of health, but they are ugly. Strawberry Legs: What Causes Them and How to Treat Them While the appearance of strawberry legs is typically the same no matter what caused it, there are a number of causes. Knowing what's causing your dotted gams can allow you to address the appropriate ailment. The four most prevalent causes of strawberry legs, as well as how to cure them, are listed below. 1. Clogged Pores Clogged pores on your legs are just as common as clogged pores on your face. Because of heredity and thicker body hair, some people have larger pores, and while the pores themselves aren't inherently irritating, they can become problematic when they become blocked with germs, dead skin, and sebum. When clogged pores on the legs are exposed to air, the debris dries up and darkens, in the same way that a blackhead on the face does. Treat with: Chemical and physical exfoliation. Exfoliation, which is part of your facial skincare routine, can be used to cure congested pores on the legs or anyplace else on the body. My personal favourite for my patients is chemical exfoliation, which uses chemicals such as acids and retinols to stimulate skin cell turnover and clear pores. This eliminates keratin, oils, and other skin detritus gently, opening up pores and follicles and preventing secondary bacterial buildup. Acne and folliculitis bacteria grow in oil-clogged hair follicles, so eliminating that build-up is critical. Look for a body wash or moisturiser that contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), notably glycolic acid and salicylic acid, to exfoliate dead skin cells and other debris that create clogged pores. These acids gently exfoliate the skin by minimising the'stickiness' of dead or dying skin cells. This helps to open up the pores while also giving the skin a great textural shift and radiance. 2. Folliculitis Folliculitis is a skin disorder that causes inflamed or infected hair follicles. The most common sign is little red pimples around the hair follicles. Hair loss or scarring in the affected area may occur in extreme situations. The majority of instances, however, are small and normally resolve within a few days. It's crucial to note that folliculitis is a catch-all term for inflammation of the hair follicle. This can be contagious due to microorganisms like staphylococcus or sterile due to oil buildup or shaving stress. Treat with: Antibiotics, both oral and topical. Folliculitis is a "tricky condition" to treat, which is why you should consult a dermatologist before trying any at-home therapies. Folliculitis can be sterile, with red, pus-filled pimples forming as a result of causes like clogged pores and shaving. They can, however, indicate a superficial skin infection caused by bacteria or yeast such as staph and pityrosporum. While the former can be treated with over-the-counter medications, the latter may require prescriptions for antibiotic creams or even pills to resolve. A simple swab can be used by a dermatologist to assess whether or not organisms should be targeted. If there are, it might save you a lot of time and effort in developing successful at-home habits. Treat with: Antibacterial skincare. At-home treatments range from lifestyle changes to skincare. To begin, change out of your sweaty training clothes and shower as quickly as possible. In the shower, lather up with antibacterial soap. Treat with: Laser hair removal treatment. You should also reconsider your shaving routine. Use a soothing shave cream in addition to converting from a multi-bladed razor to a disposable razor. In return for less rough skin, the closest shave is compromised. The risk of folliculitis is inversely associated to a close shave. He also suggests shaving with the grain rather than against it every two to three shaves. If you're prone to razor bumps, laser hair removal with a dermatologist will save you a lot of time and aggravation in the long run. 3. Keratosis Pilaris Keratosis pilaris (KP), popularly known as "chicken skin," is a skin disorder characterised by the appearance of small bumps on the skin. Keratosis pilaris most usually affects the upper outer arms, however it can also affect the thighs. Keratin accumulation in the hair follicles causes this. Treat with: Chemical exfoliation. Chemical exfoliants, like clogged pores, are frequently efficient in the treatment of keratosis pilaris, but prescription-strength treatments may also be beneficial. Exfoliative acids are my first line of defence against keratosis pilaris. If those don't work, a prescription-grade retinoid may be an option, but only after consulting with a dermatologist. While keratosis pilaris is usually a year-round condition, flare-ups are more likely in the winter when the skin is drier. Additionally, swimmers may aggravate the illness due to the dehydrating effects of chlorine and other pool chemicals. 4. Dry Skin Dry skin, as previously indicated, contributes to a number of skin diseases, including strawberry legs. Dehydrated skin is more susceptible to irritation, especially during shaving. Dry skin on the lower legs is more prone to razor burn, keratosis pilaris, folliculitis, and plugged pores, all of which can result in a spotty appearance. Treat with: Creams and moisturisers. For severely dry skin, a daily moisturising body lotion containing ammonium lactate is an excellent place to start, especially if it is scaly. Ichthyosis, or dry, scaly, or thickened skin, may not usually respond to regular creams and moisturisers, thus a dual-purpose formulation may be necessary. Because there is a thicker layer of dead skin on the surface, moisturising alone isn't always adequate. Exfoliating lotions gradually remove that layer, allowing richer moisturisers to penetrate deeper into the healthier layers beneath. In conclusion Strawberry legs are a catch-all name for a range of skin disorders, but there are a few things you can do at home and at the workplace to cure and prevent a bumpy or spotty appearance. Consult a board-certified dermatologist before attempting to treat yourself to ensure you understand the underlying cause of your illness.

The COVID-19 spread worldwide in unprecedented ways due to its high infectious and contagious nature and lack of availability of its vaccine. As a result, the greatest medical challenge in the 21st century is yet to be faced by physicians worldwide. Though the emergence of the virus can be traced back to Asia, many European countries along with the U.S. have been struck massively by the pandemic. The virus has spread across all regions ranging from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa up to South America. The COVID-19 has been declared as a pandemic by World Health Organization (WHO) due to its increased spread across the globe. After the declaration of the pandemic, various countries announced the complete lockdown such as India, China, and other Asian countries to decrease its spread. According to the latest situation report by World Health Organization (WHO) stated 175 million cases of Corona have been reported globally and 4 million patients are dead due to the coronavirus. On a slightly positive note, a total of 158 million people have recovered and a total of 2 million vaccine doses have been administered as well. Parenteral nutrition is the medical term used for infusing a specialized form of food through a vein, intravenously. The objective of the treatment is to correct or prevent malnutrition by providing liquid nutrients, including carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. Parenteral nutrition is used when the patient's gut cannot be used to absorb nutrients, the nutrition then must be delivered into the patient’s bloodstream, bypassing the gut. The reason for this type of feeding includes blockage of the gut, Perforations of the gut, parts of the bowel are diseased, or when a large part of the gut has been removed. COVID-19 has negatively impacted the market as trained professionals are required for the administration of such nutrition. The pandemic has affected the parenteral nutrition market in three ways: by directly affecting production and demand, by creating supply chain and market disruption, and by its financial impact on firms and financial markets. For instance, · In October 2020, the American Society for Parenteral and Eternal Nutrition issued the guidelines to update the use of filters for parenteral nutrition. The guidelines aim at reducing exposure to particulate matter during parenteral nutrition (PN) therapy by updating In-line intravenous filters. IMPACT ON DEMAND With the lockdown, all hospital admissions were stopped except the COVID-19 patients. Since the pandemic, lockdown situation the economic growth of the country is declining. And the manufacturing units for various items that are considered non-essential are shut down due to the non-availability of manpower. The pandemic has caused major destruction in the delivery of healthcare products across the world. It has posed limitations on many patients to access standard health services such as visits to healthcare professionals, medications, and diagnosis. It has adversely impacted the ability of patients and practitioners to adhere to treatment guidelines. Moreover, the demand for parenteral nutrition and growing awareness about current and new products is also fueling the market. For instance, · Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd stated that in the pharmaceutical business, official requests to stay at home and urban lockdowns have led to a decrease in outpatient numbers in hospitals but there is an upward trend for long-term prescriptions for patients with chronic diseases. If the current situation were to be prolonged or become more serious, there may be a further decline in the number of new prescriptions and decline in prescriptions such as injections as part of hospital treatment due to restrictions on visits to health care facilities and the voluntary restraint on efforts to raise awareness of diseases, which may affect revenue. However, the negative impact of the pandemic on the parenteral nutrition market will be soon mitigated as different states/ countries allow medical clinics to reopen, services and once again being offered. IMPACT ON PRICE Due to the pandemic, the market is disturbed to a greater level. The several establishments have to remain shut while others scale down or put on hold expansion plans as they tried to survive the unprecedented crisis. Due to the impact of the coronavirus, many large pharmaceutical companies have placed new trials on hold and numerous small, mid-size, and large enterprises have suspended ongoing ones, thereby demonstrating the magnitude of the disruption. As this lockdown has put manufacturers and distributors in worry as the key materials for the product, especially raw material supply are hindered; it will surely lead to change in prices up to an extent. IMPACT ON SUPPLY CHAIN As the world came to halt in the last few months due to the emergence of the pandemic, the supply chain couldn’t escape the impact. The government throughout the globe imposed total lockdown which led to supply chain disruptions. Consequently, the supply chain came to standstill due to the closure of borders. Even though the demand for parenteral nutrition remained untouched up to an extent, the availability was affected due to disruption in the supply chain, trade, and travel restrictions. Supply of raw material was also affected, due to which the product was affected. The outsourcing services which are providing warehousing, storage, and other services face challenges too. They are dependent on the logistic and transportation of chemical compound raw material from the outsourced service to the researchers' desk. However, with the sudden shut down globally with a ban in travel this process gets disrupted. Still, the companies managed to overcome the challenges and saw high growth. For instance, · According to the Annual report 2020 of Otsuka Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd stated that concerning the procurement of raw materials, the purchasing channels overall are secure, although delays are occurring for some important items. Manufacturing had been temporarily suspended for some line items due to employees staying at home, but all manufacturing has been restored. The manufacturing operations are adequately staffed and proceeding smoothly. If the spread of COVID-19 were to be prolonged or become more serious causing stoppages in the procurement of raw materials, or if a cluster of infections or other similar cases occurred at a manufacturing plant, the supply of certain products may stop. However, the companies have been faced with substantial business and operational disruptions, which have included everything from mitigating the effects of reduced supply to managing disruptions to logistics suppliers, and indeed hurdle in meeting their contractual obligations to customers. The pandemic has forced the companies to rethink their supply chains and their stability and reliability for an uncertain future, including other externalities and government actions throughout the world, which have begun impacting supply chains, such as issues of sustainability. Companies are considering re-evaluating their strategies, risk tolerance, and overall footprint. The market players have adopted various strategies including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and new product developments, among other strategies, to stay ahead of the competition and expand the market footprint. For instance, · In May 2021, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd announces that its affiliated company, Egypt Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., S.A.E. (Egypt Otsuka), has agreed to jointly participate with a local pharmaceutical company Gypto Pharma for Trading and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing S.A.E.
