With hellos, there must be goodbyes. In this card, we learn how to say 'goodbye' in Chinese. In Chinese, 'goodbye' is ‘再见‘ and is pronounced 'zàijiàn'. In the same way as 你好, 再见 can be used at any time of day. It is made up of two characters; 再 zài which means 'again' and 见 jiàn which means 'to see'. So literally, the phrase means 'again to see' which in English could be said as 'See you again' or 'Goodbye'. See - it makes sense, doesn't it?
