Hoặc chúng ta có thể lấy kích thước gian chính của nhà thờ họ đình chùa để đặt cuốn thư thường thì kích thước cuốn thư
cũng phải lớn hơn kích thước chiều rộng của gian thờ chính và đặt ngoài sân.
Cuốn thư đá thường có một bên bút và một bên kiếm thể hiện cho sự cao sang phú quý và sự vĩnh cửu.
