Unless you're both figure skating pros, the likelihood is that you're going to end up holding hands if you go ice-skating. So therefore, it was rather unsurprising that when I asked my guy friends for date ideas in Seoul, they all gave ice-skating a big thumbs up. Arguably one of the best known skating rinks is the rink at Lotte World in Jamsil. Don't get me wrong, Lotte World is fine but the rink doesn't get the best reviews. Friends have commented how it's always full of tourists and that the ice has puddles of water and is more slush than ice - which isn't good when trying to plan an awesome date! The rink at Korea University has a really great atmosphere, it's not full of tourists and the big plus- since it's a university facility, it's really well maintained. It also offers skate rental for just 3,000 won so it won't break the bank either! Costs involved: Adult Admission : 6,000won Rental : 3,000won Youth Admission : 5,500won Rental : 3,000won Location: First floor basement Korea University, Nok-Ji Campus, Anam-dong 5-ga, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. (서울 성북구 안암동5가 고려대학교 녹지캠퍼스 내) Directions: Travel by underground to Korea University Station (Line 6) and take Exit 3. At the Exit, board local bus No.20. Get off at "고려대 (아이스링크)" (Korea-dae ice-rink).
