You're looking at the food on the plate in front of think you've seen it before but you're not entirely sure. You have to ask "what is it?" but you don't know how...well, after today, you'll be able to ask! Today we learn '뭐예요?' [ mwo-ye-yo ] which means 'what is it?' in Korean. 뭐 [ mwo ] means 'what?' but it is rather rude / aggressive to just say "What?" (think. surly teenager on the bus who catches you staring and yells "What?!" can be a bit like that!) so instead we say "뭐예요?". In English, it can be translated as 'What is it?', 'What is that?' or 'What is this?' so you can use it quite freely. If you have any questions, let me know. I'm thinking of introducing some grammar - what do you guys think?

I think some grammar would be an excellent idea.
