The Cloud: An Interactive Thunderstorm in Your House
player.vimeo.com
I would love to have this in my house, even though I am scared of thunderstorms. This could be a relaxing way to fall asleep. Designer Richard Clarkson created the Cloud, an interactive light shaped like a cloud that mimics a thunderstorm both in light and sound based on either a remote control or motion sensors. Here's a description from Clarkson’s website: "The Cloud is an interactive lamp and speaker system, designed to mimic a thundercloud in both appearance and entertainment. Using motion sensors the cloud detects a user’s presence and creates a unique lightning and thunder show dictated by their movement. The system features a powerful speaker system from which the user can stream music via any Bluetooth compatible device. Using color-changing lights the cloud is able to adapt to the desired lighting color and brightness. The cloud also has alternative modes such as a nightlight and music reactive mode." Check out the attached video for a better idea of the light feature!

This would be completely out of place anywhere in my house, but the idea is brilliant! I'd love to see more of this designer's work.
