Now Stop Working Just To Pay Bills And Transform Your Passion Into a Profession!

Work-life balance is defined as an equilibrium state that is to be maintained between one’s professional and personal life.  As they say, ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, it is essential to sustain an equal amount of weight on each side of work and personal life. Personal life here comprises one’s relation with his/her family, personal goals, aspirations and more. Here we talk about how you can transform your passion into a profession and not depend on working just to pay bills.
Have you often faced difficulty in managing both your personal and professional lives? During WFH how often were your boss’ calls interrupted by your mother? This is where the significance of work-life balance comes into the spotlight.
Poor work-life balance is caused due to :
Burdensome work
Increased responsibilities at home
Indecisive priorities
Improper time schedule
A stressful life is one of the most common outcomes of work-life imbalance. It is witnessed by the majority of the employees in the corporate sector. Work-life balance urges you to prioritize your activities in a sequential manner so that you can invest equal time in both aspects of life.
Personal and professional lives are the two sides of the same coin. No individual can escape either of the responsibilities he/she is entitled to.

Why is a job just to pay the bills not enough?

Researchers have concluded that the majority of people are motivated to get a job as fast as possible to make themselves financially stable. This is to fulfil their basic needs and sustain a debt-free lifestyle.
Such people are working just to pay bills and are more concerned about creating a solid base for their earning potential. These are people for whom investment in their passions is secondary.
However, the millennial generation does not have the problem of being in debt. Nowadays, companies/institutions provide financial assistance. This bunch of professionals have their own passion, skills, interests on which they wish to invest and work upon.
They want to feel creative and pursue their passion instead of following a time-bound odd job. Thus, if you are career-oriented, hardworking and patient, it is possible to find a successful career or job opportunity that aligns with your values and passions.
Earlier generations of people harboured a different mindset. They had families and their prime concern was to ensure they do not go to bed with an empty stomach. A feeling of deprivation and lack of money urged them to work and earn.
Their monthly expenses were of prime concern. On the other hand, the millennials are value-driven, they stress the need to work in the right field, pursue the right profession. They are not working just to pay bills. They are demonstrative in the work field and work wholeheartedly.
Why is it important to build a career you are passionate about?
Choosing the wrong job can burn you out. By ‘wrong’, I mean a job that is not suitable for your strengths and interests. It is a common tendency among aspirants to choose the career path they see the majority of people opting for. Hence it is essential to get hold of a career that interests you. You see a particular professional making huge money out of his job.
Since your ambition is to gain enough money, you follow his path too. In such cases, one does not realise that they do not have the skills and interests necessary for that particular profession. This is where you destroy the base for a fruitful career.
Indeed, people learn by example. They make their decisions based on results that have always been experimented with beforehand or taken up by someone before. This is the path that has been evaluated and people are aware of its outcomes.
This is what makes people mediocre. It is suggested that people take up new opportunities, look for new goals, try out new career paths, experiment on new ideas and finally choose the career that most suits their requirements.
Making unconventional choices will always be a tough nut to crack and requires a lot of courage. But if you trust your instincts for a moment and believe that it will grant you the career you are desiring to pursue, the choice is worth it.
A very few people have made it to the zenith because most people have been following the crowd. Take a leap today, and work with passion.
How can you build a career you are interested in?
Here are some career guidance tips and tricks that you should follow to build a career you are interested in :
Know your passion: Every successful person builds his dream career on their available potential. You need to be passionate about something in order to pursue it as your profession. No one can perform well by doing something they are not interested in.
Decide your type of job: The ultimate happiness and job satisfaction come from doing the type of job you always wanted to do. Given that we often spend more time at work than we do at home, it is necessary to have a fulfilling job in order to excel in your career.
Analyze your weaknesses: Identify your weaknesses and work on them until you reach an optimum level. Practice makes you perfect. So the more time you invest in overcoming your shortcomings, the more you will be able to polish your skills and be job-ready. Take fair feedback from people around you and take action to improve yourself. Dismissing feedback will only hamper your career growth.
Improve your soft skills: Learn the basic etiquettes of a workplace, work on team building, coordination skills, practice listening to people carefully, learn networking with people, improve your communication and presentation skills. Any career path you choose will always need these basic skills in an employee. It helps you build a good first impression of the people you work with in the future.
Try your hands at internships: Internships are the most effective way to take the first step towards a career. Take part in internship programs to gain work experience in your area of interest. This will give you hands-on experience and the taste of industry-level work.
Check out if a job is suitable for you: Once you start targeting a particular job opportunity, learn about the skills needed, advancement opportunities, the people working there, their ethics and work environment. If the above criteria suit you, you are good to go ahead and build your dream career in the following field with the particular company.
Every profession has a huge scope. So instead of working just to pay bills, it is necessary to work in a position that aligns with your passion and well-being, thus helping you maintain the balance between your work life and personal life.

My Vote Won’t Make a Difference: A Bigger Myth than God
Democracy is a lot like Atheism. Both are grounded in the belief that there is no sovereign, no ultimate arbiter of right and wrong who will steer us in the proper direction if we just listen closely enough and, most importantly, obey.  Not everyone in a democracy is an Atheist, and not all Atheists think democracy is a good idea, but Atheists in America do. So why is it that Atheist voter turnout is so low?   There are probably as many reasons as there are non-voters, but after years of listening to people talk about all aspects of voting, I’ve come to understand that a lot of us have never had the opportunity to take a close look at what democracy is and what it isn’t.  Democracy is born of the understanding that when more than a handful of human beings are thrown together, at least some of them will want to govern.  The problem of deciding who ends up in charge can be solved in a number of ways. Birthright and force have been the two most common in history.  Other choices include lotteries, omens, and default. Democracy solves the problem by placing the burden of the decision squarely on your shoulders and mine.  And I do mean burden because democracy is not easy; it was never meant to be. Just like the word “god,” the word “easy” appears nowhere in the Constitution.  Democracy is not a synonym for freedom because it doesn’t promise that you will get your way—not even once in your life—after the votes are counted.  Democracy doesn’t guarantee voting procedures without deep flaws and deliberate complications (but it does offer ways to remedy them, albeit with a lot of work and never overnight). Why Is Liposuction Such A Taboo? Is It Not Still The Real You?
Liposuction was once a dirty secret, but the more individuals who open up about it, the less stigmatised it becomes. Why is liposuction taboo? Early liposuction patients (mainly women) would hide their procedure. Cosmetic surgeries like liposuction were deemed harmful. When asked why liposuction was frowned upon, 10 different people may have ten different answers. Some people thought undergoing lipo was a sign of dishonesty, identity fraud, or extreme vanity. As a result, undergoing liposuction was once stigmatised – admitting to “having surgery done” in public risked a negative reputation. Whether liposuction stays a boogeyman for you depends on your geographic area, cultural background, and gender. If you don't want it, don't get it! We are not here to change your mind. But the liposuction stigma is unfounded. Stigmas stem from worry about the unknown. Less stigma will exist if more individuals are open and honest about having liposuction and realise what it is and isn't. Let's examine some of the most common reasons for liposuction stigma. Myth 1: Lipo lies! In both patients and critics, this is a prevalent misperception. Unfortunately, this mindset is founded on a popular misconception: lipo is a diet and exercise alternative. A healthy diet and regular exercise are the best ways to lose weight. Lipo cannot cure visceral fat, which is necessary for slimming waistlines. Even the greatest BBL won't give you the kind of butt that comes from regular workout. Lipo doesn't build muscle; exercise is required for a six-pack. Without a solid foundation of healthy living, you can't expect to come out of the operating room looking like a fitness influencer. If someone looks stunning, it's probably because they've worked hard for years. Lipo isn't a miracle cure! However, while the outcomes might be dramatic, even life-altering, they are only one component of the puzzle. There are no shortcuts, only ways to better. But these days, most individuals recognise that there's more to looking nice than choosing the proper cosmetic surgery. The less stigma there is, the more people look at lipo and learn what it can achieve. Lipo has great benefits, but it merely improves your body - it is not magic or a method of cheating. Myth #2: Lipo is faking your ID! However, this is a popular way of thinking about liposuction in Mumbai. But this style of thinking thinks the "you" after liposuction isn't the real "you." What is the "real you"? At least with lipo, the "as-described" body is accurate. Tattoos, makeup, piercings, shaving, waxing, haircuts, extensions, and even exercise can change your body's appearance. However, lipo is only another approach to transform your appearance in order to attain the body you desire. Liposuction is less "misleading" than Spanx or a man sucking his stomach on a first date. Modernizing beauty standards has helped eliminate this stigma, allowing both men and women to do whatever they want with their bodies — after all, it's your body; you decide how it appears. Myth #3: Liposuction patients have poor beauty standards. Even before social media, traditional media's representations of women's and men's bodies regularly resulted in poor self-image difficulties. During consultations, we always ask patients if they undergo liposuction for themselves and not to make them happy or address their difficulties. While the reasons for this stigma existed in the past, they are presently changing. We all know it's true, yet no one is "perfect." In recent years, social media models and celebrities have begun demolishing their "perfect" reputations, showing stretch marks, publishing no-makeup images, and admitting to liposuction. Every day, we are bombarded with expertly made images, videos, and digitally altered movies that give the impression that some people are always perfect. What does this imply for liposuction? Not having lipo or being stigmatised by it is not a part of the body acceptance movement. Goals for the body, including weight loss, abs definition, or a 10k run, are generally considered positive. Body acceptance should be about accepting individuals for who they are, not about lipo being a mistaken attempt to reach a certain beauty ideal. Myth #4: Only women get liposuction! Guys often think lipo is extremely vain or sissy, and that men should not care about their beauty “the way women do.” This is absurd for a man. Men care about our appearance, and there is nothing wrong or sissy about that. Shaving, haircuts, diet, and exercise - males worry more about their looks than women, and vice versa. Men get lipo too, they just don't talk about it. The more publicly we debate lipo's stigma, the more acceptable it becomes. So you had lipo. So what? Do you want a battle over it? The stigma around liposuction in Mumbai does not discourage individuals from getting it done. But it's dangerous, and we're glad it's gone. Due to the stigma, those who have had lipo keep their operation hidden. Not confessing to have had cosmetic operations unintentionally creates a false image about what's attainable without surgery and perpetuates the belief that what they've done is improper. Celebrities like Chrissy Teigen confessing to armpit suctioning and Cardi B admitting to stomach lipo have helped many individuals speak up about their own treatments. Fear of the unknown is associated with stigma, yet knowledge is power. The more people who openly admit to having lipo, the less stigma.
The Nonbeliever’s Guide to Bible Stories
Throughout contemporary life, references from the Bible, its stories, and characters surround us. As a result, nonbelievers may be at a loss when they encounter them in conversation, art, or literature.  Modern-day controversies such as separation of church and state, posting the Ten Commandments in government buildings, nativity displays, and other issues may not be fully understood. This represents a gap in nonbelievers’ knowledge base.  My first book was written for my daughter as a guide to successful living. Trust Your Radar: Honest Advice for Teens and Young Adults from a Surgeon, Firefighter, Police Officer, Scuba Divemaster, Golfer, and Amateur Comedian combines life lessons with fun stories from my varied careers. A second book, Trust Your Radar, Slackers’ Edition, is a streamlined version. Both works identify organized religion as “jammers” of our clear-thinking “brain radars.” My new book, The Nonbeliever’s Guide to Bible Stories, fills the information gap about the Bible for my daughter and lucky readers.  It’s a secular sprint from Genesis to Revelation, hitting the characters, stories, occasional highlights, numerous lowlights, and famous quotes (featured in italics).  Nonbelievers should have some concept of the religious fairy tales being foisted upon their believing peers. At a minimum, just to get all the jokes.  Read the full story https://www.fadewblogs.eu.org/2021/12/the-nonbelievers-guide-to-bible-stories.html
