Jesus: Prophet of Peace and Love or Purveyor of Fear and Hate?
Multitudes of Christian commentators over the past two millennia have proclaimed the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth to be unsurpassed tenets of spiritual wisdom and unexcelled guidelines for living a morally responsible life.  Hundreds of millions of devout believers are absolutely convinced that they will conquer death and attain everlasting life because God sacrificed his son for their sins. They are also convinced that Jesus didn’t really die. He was restored to life and subsequently ascended to heaven to spend eternity with his father, and soon Jesus will return to Earth to judge the wicked and rapture righteous believers up to heaven with him. Countless books have been written extolling the allegedly commendable features of the “Christian worldview” and the “Christ-centered life,” but, by contrast, few authors have examined the unsavory side of Jesus’ personality and his less than-meritorious behavior and opinions. For this presentation, I’ve formulated, in a balanced fashion, two sets of ten principles based on Jesus’ pronouncements. Although his directives come from the canonical gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), additional documentation is abundant elsewhere in the New Testament epistles and letters. The twenty precepts are listed along with the supporting Bible verses from which they derive. The cited verses and passages appear in this separate article. This scriptural evidence will enable readers to answer for themselves the binary question that is the title of this article. NB: This article is not made assuming Jesus literally indeed existed, but an evaluation of the character of the Abrahamic religious texts. How to wash baby clothes?
As a first-time mom, you may wonder how to wash baby clothes, you likely started worrying about cleaning all those dainty mini clothes…Washing your newborn’s clothing isn’t as difficult as you might assume. Two pieces of advice for you : 1. Pick a fragrance-free detergent There are lots of brands of detergents in the supermarket, you should choose a fragrance-free one. Some babies can be sensitive to any kind of item with a smell. It may seem obvious, we’d better clean any type of brand-new garments before they are put on by your child. I have seen my friend’s baby who wore new clothing given by a member of the family, only to develop a rash after wearing it. By the way, any type of detergent in the house must be kept out of the reach of small fingers. 2. Baby clothes washed separately Plenty of parents clean their baby’s garments individually from the remainder of the home’s clothing. That is the right way. Why? Reasons as below: 1) Baby has delicate and super sensitive skin. And the baby-only detergent is more expensive than the normal one, it may be too lavish to wash everyone’s clothes together. 2) One of your family members may touch dangerous chemicals on the job. To avoid exposing your baby to an irritant accidentally, separating the clothing is the best way. 3)Some people love their clothes with a particular fragrance, so they may add fragrance enhancers to the washing clothing. That is too strong for your infant. 4)Normally, most newborn babies pee or spit up a lot, they use a lot of clothing throughout the day. Baby-only loads are necessary simply, as nobody dirties as many clothes as the infant. [See: Softest Toddler and Children Rompers
9 Effective Skincare Tips For Teenagers With Acne
A pimple develops when the pores of the skin become clogged with sebum; a type of oil that normally lubricates the skin and hair. Acne is common during puberty, when hormones kick in and the skin produces an abnormally high amount of sebum. Because the forehead, nose, and chin contain so many oil-producing glands, this area, dubbed the T-zone, is the most prone to pimples. Here are a few pointers to help you avoid and treat breakouts quickly: Wash your face twice daily with warm water and a gentle acne-specific cleanser (no more). Massage your face gently in circular motions. No scrubbing is required. Excessive washing and scrubbing can irritate the skin. After cleansing, apply a low-strength benzoyl peroxide lotion. Never squeeze your pimples. It's tempting, but here are some reasons why you should avoid it: Pimple popping can result in the push of infected material deeper into the skin, causing swelling, redness, and acne scarring. If you notice a pimple developing prior to a significant event, such as a wedding, a dermatologist can frequently treat it with minimal scarring or infection. Don't touch your face or lean your face against objects that collect sebum and skin residue, such as your phone. By touching your face, you can spread bacteria and cause inflamed and irritated pores. Wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as your acne treatment creams or makeup, to keep bacteria at bay. Clean your pair of glasses or sunglasses to avoid clogging the pores around your eyes and nose with oil. Avoid tight fitting clothes if you have acne on your body. They obstruct the skin's ability to breathe and may irritate it. On scarves, headbands, and caps, dirt and oil can also accumulate. Remove your makeup before going to bed. When shopping for makeup, look for brands that list "non-comedogenic" or "non-acnegenic" on the label. Remove any old makeup that has a different smell or appearance than the day you purchased it. Keep your hair clean and away from your face to avoid clogging your pores with dirt and oil. Never skip sunscreen. While a tan may appear to conceal acne, this is only temporary. A tan may aggravate your acne rather than help it. Additionally, tanning wreaks havoc on the skin, causing wrinkles and increasing your risk of developing skin cancer. Consult a dermatologist if you are concerned about acne. Dermatologists offer a variety of acne treatment options for acne scar prevention and treatment. A dermatologist can assist you in determining the most effective treatment method for you and provide you with a wealth of useful advice on how to manage acne and care for your particular skin type.
Top Baby Names For 2015
It's that time of year again when Nameberry releases the top baby names in the USA. Americans take naming their child so seriously so it's no wonder that thousands of new parents are scanning this list today. Names come and go in popularity rankings over the years but in the United States, naming a child is much more than just a cute name. It's a social statement. It not only has to have a certain vibe, but also a certain sound. Many parents pick names just based off the first letter so that their initials all match. Some kids have to have names that have letters to create an acronym : (CAT : Cathryn Alice Turner). Some must sound more sophisticated or appropriate for their state and economic/social background. Also, many new parents imagine what kind of careers would match certain names so that their kid will have an immediate sense of professionalism. Some parents like to mimic favorite tv or movie characters or name their kids after famous celebrities, athletes, or public figures. You can never name your kid something that is too hard to say but you don't want your kid to be the 7th Katie or Alex. Names today are picked based off of coolness factor and trying to prevent the possibility of your child being bullied. And OF COURSE everyone seems to be shocked when celebrities name their children intimate objects, directions, or colors such as Gwyneth Paltrow's Apple, Kim Kardashian's North, and Beyoncé's Blue Ivy. How Safe Is A Tummy Tuck And Is It Permanent?
Do you have questions about a tummy tuck? This is a common plastic surgery procedure. Following childbirth, many women find they have excess skin or a stomach bulge that won't go away with diet and exercise alone. This procedure is often performed as part of a "mommy makeover" with breast augmentation or liposuction. However, a tummy tuck is not just for women. A man or anyone who has lost a lot of weight and has excess skin in their abdomen can have the procedure. How long until I see results? Aside from the usual post-operative bruising and swelling, the results are almost immediate. Because this is an abdominal surgery, you should be able to walk and do normal activities within 3 to 7 days. One month post-surgery, patients can resume normal exercise routines. Who will know I had surgery? It's entirely up to you. Abdominoplasty surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and takes 2–5 hours. Drains usually stay for a day or two, allowing you to rest and recover. After surgery, your surgeon will need to closely monitor you for 24-48 hours. The incisions will be made low across your abdomen and along your hip bones. The belly button will also be incised. Scarring should heal beautifully and only be visible in the most intimate situations when performed by a qualified plastic surgeon. Is it noticeable at the pool or on the beach? No. Is a tummy tuck right for you? No, in a nutshell. Because every body is unique, a thorough consultation with your cosmetic surgeon is essential. An abdominoplasty is not recommended for people who plan to lose weight or have more children after surgery. Otherwise, people in good health who are within their target weight range are good candidates. Like any other procedure, do your homework before choosing a surgeon. Assuage your fears and concerns about the procedure. When done properly, tummy tucks produce permanent results as long as you don't change your diet or weight drastically after surgery. Look and feel great in your clothes while getting rid of a bloated tummy. No wonder it's so popular!
Clean School Shoes Stink? It’s Enough to Read This One
If you’re already planning on sending your kids to school in a uniform that’s neatly-pressed, then it’s a must that they have clean school shoes. Your child’s first pair of shoes can be a bit of a chore. They can get sticky and muddy, especially if they get wet. Want to know how to clean them up? Follow these simple methods. How to clean school shoes? Soak You can take those kids’ Crocs and jellies and hose them down outside, but for sneakers, a good old soak in a bucket of water can remove caked-on mud and clean the shoes well. A good old soak in a bucket full of water can help remove mud and dirt from shoes. Change the water regularly and use an old toothbrush or rag to remove the remaining residue. Use A Cleaning Agent  Enlist the help of a kid-friendly stain-fighting tool to remove tougher stains (grass, blood, and other bodily fluids). Mix baking soda and water in a spray bottle and apply to stains. Let sit for a few minutes, then rinse well. Try the Magic Eraser&Toothpaste That magical eraser you use all over your house also does a pretty great job of cleaning rubber soles. A good scrub can remove dirt, oil, and other harmful substances from shoes. It can also freshen them up and make them look new. Enlist The Help of your Washing Machine Most sneakers and canvas shoes (like those oh-so-cute little Toms) are safe to throw directly in the washing machine. Since a clothes dryer can cause shrinking, try not to use it. Instead, air-dry inside or over a vent. If you’re afraid of fading, then you want to avoid direct sunlight. Need some additional odor control? A little baking soda in the wash cycle or sprinkled on those wet shoes should help. Dry them with Paper / Towels Wet school shoes are more common than we care to think about. Especially at this time of year and of course, the kids find ALL the puddles! The best way to dry out wet leather school shoes is to place balls of newspaper into the shoe. This product will keep the shoes in place while also drawing out moisture. However, it can also cause the shoes to become too dry and crack. Fix Promptly There is nothing worse than school shoes that look ratty. To extend the life of your shoes, glue them back on as soon as they become damaged. They can also be repaired by fixing the shoes’ buckles and Velcro straps. Plus: To keep canvas shoes clean, coat them with a clear/white candle and melt the wax into them using a hairdryer. Always be sure to check that the canvas is cotton not synthetic before heating. Hyaluronic Acid - The Natural Skin Plumping Sugar
Despite its tough pronunciation and even more complicated spelling; hyaluronic acid is an important part of your daily skin care routine. It's widely used in serums, sheet masks, and moisturisers. This is because HA, a naturally occurring molecule in the skin, binds to water and plumps the face, giving it a dewy, glowing appearance. It's clear that word of its benefits has spread, as it's one of the most sought-after ingredients in skin-care products. Aside from increasing skin moisture levels, hyaluronic acid serves other functions. What is hyaluronic acid, exactly? Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar molecule in the skin that helps water bind to collagen, keeping it in place and giving the skin a plumper, dewier, and more hydrated appearance. Essentially, hyaluronic acid improves skin hydration, which helps to maintain the skin's youthful, full, and bouncy appearance. Collagen in our dermis determines the structure of our skin. Natural hyaluronic acid is covalently linked to water molecules on one side and collagen on the other, providing plumpness to the skin. What is hyaluronic acid's function? As we age, our collagen and hyaluronic acid levels gradually decline, causing our skin to become increasingly dry. Furthermore, winter heaters, specific skin care products, and underlying skin disorders can cause microscopic tears in the protective skin barrier, allowing water to escape. As a result, implementing a customised skin care regimen that includes moisturising products could be extremely beneficial. Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, colloidal oatmeal, urea, propylene glycol, and sorbitol are humectants, which draw water to the skin to hydrate it. These chemicals can be found in a variety of products, such as moisturisers, eye creams, and serums. The use of HA-containing products tightens the skin around the eyes, increases moisture to reduce puffiness, and softens fine wrinkles throughout the face. Hyaluronic acid is effective when applied topically due to its ease of penetration. Our skin is the largest organ in the body, soaking up up to 60% of the nutrients applied to it. Furthermore, the lightweight, fluid nature of hyaluronic acid, as well as its ability to retain moisture from the environment and deeper dermis to completely hydrate the skin, are benefits. Who should benefit from hyaluronic acid? All skin types benefit from hyaluronic acid. It is non-irritating in general and does not aggravate acne, rosacea, or allergic skin conditions. However, there is a very small chance of experiencing any negative consequences. Individuals with dry and/or older skin will benefit the most from the application of hyaluronic acid. Because our bodies produce less hyaluronic acid as we age, people in their forties and fifties will benefit the most from applying it topically. Despite the fact that the term "acid" appears in the term of hyaluronic acid, those with sensitive skin should not be worried; it is completely safe for everyone. Because hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in our bodies, there are no known side effects from using it. If you have an allergic reaction to it or a product that contains it, contact your dermatologist immediately; the reaction could be caused by another active or inactive ingredient. Injectable Hyaluronic Acid Injections of hyaluronic acid are also available. Hyaluronic acid is a gel-like substance found in dermal fillers that attracts water after injection to replenish volume and restore lost structure. This helps to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles while also reducing the overall sunken or drooping appearance of the face. These dermal fillers can be used to treat nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheek augmentation, chin augmentation, undereyes, lips, and back of the hands, among other things. Because the quality of fillers varies, it's critical to consult with your dermatologist about your options to ensure you get the best one for you. A cosmetic surgeon compares different types of hyaluronic acid fillers to different types of paintbrushes. They all contain the same component, but the density, lift-ability, and durability of the molecules vary depending on their size and arrangement. Additionally, it is reversible. Because it is injected into your face, it is not permanent. Because hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are reversible, your dermatologist can dissolve the filler quickly using the enzyme hyaluronidase if you are dissatisfied with the results or if a blood artery is blocked during the injection process. The enzyme works quickly; the substance dissolves quickly and is completely destroyed within 24 to 48 hours. Individuals who are allergic to bees, on the other hand, should proceed with caution — and consult a dermatologist — before attempting hyaluronidase-based therapy because the enzyme is found in bee venom. Hyaluronic acid fillers, on the other hand, are not for everyone. Except for pregnant women, the vast majority of people can benefit from hyaluronic acid fillers. Pregnancy and fillers have not been thoroughly studied, but dermatologists generally avoid injecting pregnant women due to uncertainty. Furthermore, if you have a current skin infection, you should avoid these fillers. First, treat the infection, and then return to your appointment once your dermatologist has given you the all-clear. If you're thinking about using hyaluronic fillers, there are a few minor risks to be aware of. Bruising and swelling are the most common side effects of any injectable treatment. The good news is that these shortfalls will only last a short time. Tenderness should subside within a few days. To reduce the risk of bruising, blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and red wine should be avoided for about a week before treatment. Furthermore, arnica and bromelain may aid in the reduction of swelling and bruising.
5 Sure Ways To Get Young And Glowing Skin
You may have the spirit of a child, ready to take on the world. But what if your skin tone isn't a good match? Here are the top 5 treatments for looking youthful and ready to face the world... Chemical Peeling A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing technique that removes your skin's top layer. This can help reduce wrinkles, dullness, and hyperpigmentation. A chemical peel is performed by applying a liquid to the face, which is subsequently wiped away. A gentle chemical peel enhances skin texture and tone while also making fine wrinkles less visible. The results are minor at first, but as treatments are repeated, they become more noticeable. If you get a medium chemical peel, the treated skin will be noticeably smoother. Botox Botulinum toxin is most commonly utilised in Botox treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and other facial lines. Botox injections are painless and are administered using a tiny eyelash-like needle. The FDA has approved the procedure, and the benefits are obvious within three days. You will need to repeat the procedure every 3-5 months if you want to retain your wrinkle-free appearance. Dermal Fillers Dermal fillers are cosmetic fillers used to increase the volume and fullness of your skin. This therapy reduces the visibility of the most typical indicators of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles. Women frequently utilise dermal fillers to make themselves appear younger. Dermal fillers are hyaluronic gel injections that support and volumize drooping parts of the face. Microdermabrasion Microdermabrasion can make your skin seem better by decreasing fine wrinkles, early UV damage, and minor, superficial acne scars. It does not work for repairing deep acne scars or wrinkles. Skin may become visibly smoother and more responsive to moisturisers after just one treatment. During the treatment, aluminium oxide crystals are gently sanded into your skin. Ultherapy Ultherapy is a nonsurgical facelift treatment. It is the only FDA-approved, non-invasive procedure for elevating the neck, chin, and brow, as well as smoothing out creases and wrinkles. Ultherapy® results are typically good for two years. Even with natural collagen renewal, the therapy causes the skin to age. The procedure focused on the brow, neck, and jawline. The vast majority of these procedures are FDA-approved and fully safe. Consult your dermatologist to find out which anti-aging therapies are right for you!
I Said No to a Religious Friend as She Lay Dying. Was I Right?
Religion is nothing but a crock used by people to fortify themselves against the frightening prospect of death, that chillingly inevitable end of life.  And when death impends, be that at war, in hospital, or on death row, people cling more desperately to that delusion.  Even nonbelievers walk on eggshells when faced with a dying person. We wonder: Is this really a good time to tread on their sensibilities and disabuse them of their crock? Not long ago I found myself in that quandary.  Someone I knew was dying, and I went to her deathbed to pay my respects. She was a woman who respected me as an elder of the Nigerian community in Cleveland.  She was also something of a protégé, having sought my advice repeatedly as she considered the proper advanced-degree path to pursue.  In my days as a scientific educator—when, also, two of my sons were in the university—I had become something of an information resource for my fellow Nigerians on matters like the choice of college to attend and the discipline of study, and especially how to tap into financial assistance programs available to good students and their parents in the U.S.  I chose to visit her when most of her friends and well-wishers would be at work. I was wary of the perplexed reactions of my fellow Nigerians when it became known that I am an atheist.  My friends told me I would come across much better as an agnostic or a pagan than an out-and-out atheist, for Nigerians are often ranked alongside Americans in sheer religiosity—of the pushy and loud sort.  It’s amazing that the very people whom religion has historically oppressed and denigrated the most (i.e. women, Blacks, colonized people) are the ones who cling to it most tenaciously!  The Nigerian media go so far as to estimate that one in three houses in the cities and townships of the Christian south of the country are used nowadays as churches, chapels, temples, tabernacles, or other places of worship.  “Nigerian atheist” is considered an oxymoron. Those who know I was raised a Catholic—and, to boot, an altar boy able to recite the entire Eucharist liturgy in Latin and English—profess themselves baffled by my apostasy.  Read the full article: https://www.fadewblogs.eu.org/2021/11/I-said-no.html
3 Reasons Why Women Are Choosing Breast Augmentation With Fat Over Implants.
Autologous fat transfer, also known as fat grafting, has provided reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeons with a slew of new options. Fat transfer for breast augmentations, rather than traditional silicone or saline implants, has become one of the hottest trends in cosmetic plastic surgery. Because of the plethora of influencers and celebrities on social media, fat transfer breast augmentation is becoming increasingly popular. Patients are increasingly choosing fat grafting over more invasive breast augmentation surgeries for very simple, practical reasons. In this post, we'll go over the top three reasons why more women than ever before are opting for fat transfer breast augmentations. WHAT IS FAT GRAFTING EXACTLY? Fat grafting is a fascinating scientific procedure. To put it simply, fat grafting is the transfer of fat cells from areas of excess flab to areas where more volume is desired. The following are some examples of common fat grafting donor sites: Thighs Buttocks Belly Flankers (fat above your midsection on your back) Fat cells are typically used to accentuate the curvature of patients' breasts and buttocks during fat grafting procedures in cosmetic surgery. There are several advantages to using autologous fat transfer instead of breast implants if you want a small to medium increase in breast size or volume. In addition, some of the more recent fat transfer breast augmentation techniques include a pre-expansion technique that allows for larger increases in breast size. Breast Augmentation With Fat Can Solve Two Problems At Once. A fat transfer breast augmentation combines two of the most popular plastic surgery procedures performed each year: breast augmentation and liposuction. It's easy to see why most patients are ecstatic when we tell them we can make their breasts look better and melt away a little extra pudge in an area that makes them self-conscious. Almost everyone has stood in front of a mirror and pinched fat where they don't want it. With a fat transfer breast augmentation, your Cosmetic Surgeon can move a portion of your excess body fat to create beautiful curves in your breasts. You may be surprised at how much this can improve your self-esteem and make you feel great in (and out of) your clothes. Athletic Women Can Resume Workouts Sooner After Breast Augmentation With Fat. Breasts are mammary glands surrounded by body fat, and many athletic women choose breast augmentation to accentuate their feminine curves. This is because women who are extremely fit may lose a significant amount of body fat, which increases the volume of their breasts. Whether you're a competitive athlete or a fitness enthusiast, the recovery period that leaves you wanting to get back to exercising can be excruciating. The recovery time for fat transfer breast augmentation can be up to two-thirds faster than for traditional breast augmentation with implants. You Can Resume Office Sooner After Breast Augmentation With Fat. Accepting that how you look and feel about yourself has a significant impact on your success at work can be a difficult reality to accept. According to a study conducted by an economist at the University of Texas at Austin, a handsome man will earn nearly 15% more in his lifetime than someone who is not considered attractive. Professional considerations, like any other cosmetic procedure, can influence the decision to have breast augmentation. One of the main reasons our working professionals prefer breast augmentation with fat in Mumbai to implants is that it allows them to spend less time away from work while still achieving beautiful, natural-looking results. Patients who have implants must usually wait at least two weeks before returning to work, and sometimes even longer if their job requires physical exertion. Patients who opt for a fat transfer procedure are usually able to return to work within 4-5 days.
What should I do if my baby wakes up early?
Many times when you’re in bed at 2 a.m, suddenly your baby squeaks. You’re already awake. Your baby’s sleep cycle (the full circuit from light to deep to light NREM sleep…plus a bit of REM) lasts only 60 minutes. So, about every hour, your baby will enter a light sleep…or even briefly wake up and make a short moan or squawk. If she’s not crying, give her a few moments to settle before placing her in the bassinet. If your princess still doesn’t go to bed at 1 a.m. or 3 a.m., then something may be bothering her. This could be a snoring parent or a passing truck. But hands down, your baby’s middle-of-the-night, the snooze-shattering disturbance is hunger. Increase daytime feedings if your baby wakes every hour During the early months, your little one may be in sleep —but your baby is definitely feeding! You literally fed her every second during the womb. It’s no wonder that newborn babies need frequent feeds to keep up their fast-paced growth.  In fact, mothers in some cultures actually nurse their babies 50-100 times a day! I’m not suggesting that to you, but breastfed newborns do need at least ten to twelve feedings a day. (Bottle-fed babies need 6-8.) It’s possible to get more than 2 hours of sleep in a row! Just feed your baby every 1.5-2 hours during the day, and wake him after 2 hours. This will help set up a rhythm of sleep that will last for a couple of months. What to do if you increase feedings and your baby still wakes every hour… The first thing to do if your baby is waking up too early, it’s important to check her sleep schedule to make sure that she gets enough sleep. You can gradually move her bedtime up by 10 minutes each night to see if it will help her stay asleep longer. It’s not an overnight success, though. Having a juggled sleep schedule can be dangerous, as it can prevent your baby from getting enough sleep. If it’s still not working, then talk to your doctor about it. It’s also important to avoid making changes that will disrupt her schedule. These reinforcements will help to trigger a calming reflex in your baby and encourage longer sleep sessions.
