What If We Taught Students That Religion is Absurd?
We need to educate our children and teenagers to the point where they can think critically for themselves and can easily see and understand the absurdity of religion. The good news is that once someone’s brain is at this level of comprehension, a great many positive side effects occur. Life would be much better for everyone if everyone in our society is educated to the level where they understand that religion is absurd. The religiosity of America fascinates me. I am intrigued by the idea of millions of people in an advanced nation believing that they have a “relationship” with an imaginary friend and believing that this imaginary friend is answering their prayers.  In the United States, something like 76% of the population believes in God, and seventy percent of the population identifies as Christian. Three-quarters of the U.S. population believes that the Bible was at least inspired by God, and 28% (more than 89 million people) believe the stories in it are literally true. Why would anyone today believe that the Christian god is real or that the story of Noah’s ark is true? My goal here is to advocate that we, as a society, start an active campaign to make religion irrelevant to human civilization. In the same way that there have been active campaigns to eliminate diseases like smallpox and polio, we should start a similar campaign against religion.  The tool I propose for religion’s elimination is across-the-board education in critical thinking. But first, let’s step back for a moment and ask, How do we find ourselves in this position as a species? There are many interesting things that human beings do. Music, math, tools, cooking, science, engineering, art, and language all come to mind. But religion ranks up there as perhaps the most interesting.  Religion stands out because it is so irrational and bizarre. Billions of people on this planet believe in their various imaginary beings so firmly that disagreements about religion often escalate to violence and warfare.  Read the full story: https://www.fadewblogs.eu.org/2021/11/teaching-about-religion-in-school.html
Increased Adoption of Refurbished Diagnostic Imaging Systems - Fluoroscopy Equipment
The market for fluoroscopy equipment is expected to grow from USD 5.9 billion in 2020 to USD 7.5 billion by 2025, at a CAGR of 4.8% during the forecast period. Growth in the fluoroscopy equipment market is attributed to factors such as the advantages of FPDs over image intensifiers, the use of fluoroscopy in pain management, reimbursement cuts for analog radiography systems, the rising geriatric population, and the growing prevalence of chronic diseases.  The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the buying capacity of hospitals, especially small-scale hospitals and scanning centers. According to an article in Livemint, private hospitals in India have faced revenue losses of up to 90% due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has also impacted the operation of manufacturing companies.  The evolution of fluoroscopy systems and C-arms from traditional X-ray image intensifier technology to digital flat-panel detectors (FPDs) has brought about significant advancements in fluoroscopic imaging. FPDs have a number of advantages over image intensifiers, including compact sizes and reduced radiation dose. Systems with FPDs have the potential for higher image resolution than their predecessors.  FPDs offers no image distortion, greater sensitivity, and better patient coverage. Due to their advantages, many hospitals are now opting for FPD fluoroscopes. The growing preference for advanced technologies, and the need to shift to new, more efficient products, will be a key factors driving the growth of this market segment.  Download PDF Brochure With Latest Edition @ https://www.marketsandmarkets.com/pdfdownloadNew.asp?id=23056341 Fluoroscopic procedures can result in high radiation dose exposure for complex procedures, such as stent placement. These procedures are time-consuming, which greatly increases the radiation that patients are exposed to and the risk of hazards such as radiation-induced injuries to the skin and underlying tissues. The long-term side-effects of prolonged radiation exposure can also include cancer. This has served to push users towards non-radiation modalities, particularly in the case of pediatric patients. For instance, the ACR (American College of Radiology) Appropriateness Criteria specify that for infants younger than two months, ultrasound should be considered before a fluoroscopic examination. Additionally, CT examinations can completely eliminate the need for a fluoroscopic examination, as a CT scan is noninvasive as opposed to minimally invasive fluoroscopic imaging.  Many hospitals in developing countries are unable to invest in fluoroscopy equipment due to their high costs, poor reimbursement rates, and budget constraints, and therefore prefer refurbished systems. These systems are less expensive than new systems—approximately 40% to 60% of the original price. Increasing demand for refurbished devices poses a major challenge to the sales of new instruments—and, subsequently, to the growth of market players and small manufacturers. Get Data as per your Format and Definition | REQUEST FOR CUSTOMIZATION: https://www.marketsandmarkets.com/requestCustomizationNew.asp?id=23056341 These systems come with a software package that helps store patient information. With the help of data integration, physicians can easily compare scans to effectively observe disease progression. To devise a treatment plan, clinicians are demanding access to integrated, comprehensive data on the patient’s diagnostic history. In addition to data integration, there lies a huge opportunity for making data available through mobile technologies. This will help doctors to view and study scans wherever they are. Due to their advantages, convenience, and huge demand from clinicians, data integrated systems offer a huge opportunity for market growth. The rising prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and the increasing number of orthopedic surgeries are some of the major factors driving the growth of the mobile C-arms market. C-arms are used for a wide range of applications, including surgeries for cardiovascular diseases, neurosurgeries, and surgeries for gastroenterology, orthopedics, traumatology, and urology disorders. Cardiology is the largest diagnostic application segment of the fluoroscopy equipment market. The large share of this segment is attributed to the high burden of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) worldwide and the convenience and better results offered by fluoroscopy systems during the diagnosis and treatment of various cardiac disorders. Key Market Players The major players in the fluoroscopy equipment market are Siemens Healthineers (Germany), GE Healthcare (US), and Philips (Netherlands). These companies together accounted for a share of ~80% of the fluoroscopy equipment market in 2018. Other players in the market include Shimadzu Corporation (Japan), Ziehm Imaging GmbH (Germany), Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation (Japan), Hitachi Ltd. (Japan), Carestream Health, Inc. (US), Hologic, Inc. (US), Lepu Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (China), Agfa-Gevaert Group (Belgium), and ADANI Systems Inc. (Belarus) among others.
9 Effective Skincare Tips For Teenagers With Acne
A pimple develops when the pores of the skin become clogged with sebum; a type of oil that normally lubricates the skin and hair. Acne is common during puberty, when hormones kick in and the skin produces an abnormally high amount of sebum. Because the forehead, nose, and chin contain so many oil-producing glands, this area, dubbed the T-zone, is the most prone to pimples. Here are a few pointers to help you avoid and treat breakouts quickly: Wash your face twice daily with warm water and a gentle acne-specific cleanser (no more). Massage your face gently in circular motions. No scrubbing is required. Excessive washing and scrubbing can irritate the skin. After cleansing, apply a low-strength benzoyl peroxide lotion. Never squeeze your pimples. It's tempting, but here are some reasons why you should avoid it: Pimple popping can result in the push of infected material deeper into the skin, causing swelling, redness, and acne scarring. If you notice a pimple developing prior to a significant event, such as a wedding, a dermatologist can frequently treat it with minimal scarring or infection. Don't touch your face or lean your face against objects that collect sebum and skin residue, such as your phone. By touching your face, you can spread bacteria and cause inflamed and irritated pores. Wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as your acne treatment creams or makeup, to keep bacteria at bay. Clean your pair of glasses or sunglasses to avoid clogging the pores around your eyes and nose with oil. Avoid tight fitting clothes if you have acne on your body. They obstruct the skin's ability to breathe and may irritate it. On scarves, headbands, and caps, dirt and oil can also accumulate. Remove your makeup before going to bed. When shopping for makeup, look for brands that list "non-comedogenic" or "non-acnegenic" on the label. Remove any old makeup that has a different smell or appearance than the day you purchased it. Keep your hair clean and away from your face to avoid clogging your pores with dirt and oil. Never skip sunscreen. While a tan may appear to conceal acne, this is only temporary. A tan may aggravate your acne rather than help it. Additionally, tanning wreaks havoc on the skin, causing wrinkles and increasing your risk of developing skin cancer. Consult a dermatologist if you are concerned about acne. Dermatologists offer a variety of acne treatment options for acne scar prevention and treatment. A dermatologist can assist you in determining the most effective treatment method for you and provide you with a wealth of useful advice on how to manage acne and care for your particular skin type.
Evidence Suggests Patriarchal Religious Indoctrination Played a Primary Role in the 2016 Election
Hillary, Women, and Patriarchalism: Defeated by an Ignoramus Who Regularly Expresses Contempt for Women, Though Claims He “Loves” Hillary Rodham Clinton was the first woman to become a major party candidate for the office of President of the United States. She was defeated by an unqualified, foul-mouthed, ignoramus who has regularly expressed his contempt for women, even though he claims that he “loves” them. While it is not surprising that a majority of men voted for Donald Trump, it was stunning that fifty-three percent of white women actually refused to support the first female presidential candidate who had a good chance of winning. The outcome of any election is determined by many interacting factors, but there is some evidence that patriarchal religious indoctrination assumed a primary role in the 2016 presidential race. A slight majority of Catholic voters (60%) favored Trump, while an overwhelming majority of fundamentalist Protestants (81%) preferred the bellicose billionaire.  From the latter figure, it can be concluded that Donald Trump is the exemplar of the “Christ-centered life” because this term is central to fundamentalist ideology. The justification for patriarchal domination as a God-given mandate is, of course, Holy Scripture.  Because so many Americans accept the myth of Judeo-Christian nationalism, it is entirely appropriate to look to the Bible as the source for this severely oppressive, anti-woman theme in fundamentalist Christianity.  The content of the Bible was recorded, transmitted, and compiled over a span of almost two millennia in male-dominated, agrarian, Middle-Eastern societies.  Therefore, the treatment of women in the Bible reflects the cultural context in which these chauvinistic rules and beliefs developed.  Because these misogynistic edicts, decrees, and mandates were codified in the Judeo-Christian scriptures, they became part of a vast compendium of commandments that devotees today believe to be God’s perfect word.  Read the full story: https://www.fadewblogs.eu.org/2021/11/hillary-women-and-patriarchalism.html
5 Things To Know Before Your Tummy Liposuction For 6 Pack Abs
There are two types of fat to consider when doing tummy liposuction: subcutaneous and visceral. Subcutaneous fat is the jiggly, pinchable fat found just beneath the skin. It's generally harmless, but not always appealing. Visceral fat is fat stored in the abdomen. "Skinny-fat" is a term used to describe people with a lot of visceral fat. Not only is it unhealthy, but it's also dangerous. Because visceral fat is stored near your organs, it is more likely to disrupt organ functions, leading to increased insulin resistance (type 2 diabetes), blood pressure, bad cholesterol (LDL), and heart disease and stroke risk. Tummy liposuction removes subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat is insoluble in water and cannot be suctioned out. Diet and exercise can safely reduce visceral fat. Visceral fat does not prevent you from having liposuction, but it does affect the results. The patient had liposuction of the abdomen, waist, and hips. The patient was pleased with the visible results. However, visceral fat remains in the tummy , which liposuction cannot remove. Without an MRI or CAT scan, you can't tell how much visceral fat you have. Visceral fat makes up about 10% of total body fat. Your visceral fat may start to affect your health if your waist circumference is 40 inches or 35 inches for a man and 35 inches for a woman. Tummy liposuction does not always require general anaesthesia. It's true for all body parts, but not always! In fact, some surgeons still prefer general anaesthesia, especially for abdominal surgery. Your plastic surgeon will almost certainly use the tumescent method, which has long been the gold standard for safe and effective liposuction. Tummy fat is removed by injecting tumescent fluid (saline and epinephrine with sodium bicarbonate as a buffer) into the skin-to-abdominal cavity area. The saline solution fills the fatty layer beneath the skin, making it easier to sculpt (hence the name Liposculpture). Epinephrine is a vasoconstrictor, reducing bruising and blood loss. For tummy liposuction under local anaesthesia, your surgeon will add lidocaine (a numbing agent) to the tumescent fluid. In addition to avoiding the risks associated with general anaesthesia, this allows your cosmetic surgeon to perform lipo without putting patients to sleep. Watch for Loose Skin and Belly Hang. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, causing our skin to lose elasticity and bounce back. Now anyone can have liposuction! Remember that skin laxity is more likely to be an issue with tummy lipo as you age. Loose skin can occur after extreme weight loss, as well as after liposuction. With SmartLipo, laser-assisted liposuction in Mumbai tightens skin better than liposuction alone. In some cases, due to the size of the abdomen or lack of skin elasticity, a tummy tuck may be required. You can gain weight even if fat doesn't move. Liposuction is an investment in your body that requires maintenance. Tummy liposuction will not prevent you from gaining weight. Even if you gain weight, your tummy will still be slimmer! Liposuction is not a weight loss solution and should not be used as such. Tummy liposuction permanently removes abdominal fat. Those cells don't regenerate, move, or change where they store fat. After tummy liposuction, your body has fewer fat cells in the abdomen (about 70 percent less). If you gain weight after tummy liposuction, your body will store fat in the same places. Because we removed so much fat from your tummy , other areas may appear larger. That you can eat whatever you want and never gain weight just because your tummy is smaller after lipo means nothing. Again, liposuction is not a quick fix and should not be used as such. 6 pack abs are made in the gym and the kitchen. "Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym," you've probably heard. That's a lot of truth. Subcutaneous fat hides abdominal muscles, no matter how big and strong they are. Or does it remove subcutaneous fat? So why don't all lipo patients have six-pack abs? The answer is simple: abs come from the kitchen and the gym. There's the gym and the operating room for tummy lipo. You've probably seen a flat tummy . They don't have much belly fat and have good muscle definition, but no six-pack. As previously shown, having a lot of visceral fat can prevent you from getting a flat tummy from lipo. You won't get abs from liposuction in Mumbai unless you first build strong ab muscles through exercise and weight training.

I Said No to a Religious Friend as She Lay Dying. Was I Right?
Religion is nothing but a crock used by people to fortify themselves against the frightening prospect of death, that chillingly inevitable end of life.  And when death impends, be that at war, in hospital, or on death row, people cling more desperately to that delusion.  Even nonbelievers walk on eggshells when faced with a dying person. We wonder: Is this really a good time to tread on their sensibilities and disabuse them of their crock? Not long ago I found myself in that quandary.  Someone I knew was dying, and I went to her deathbed to pay my respects. She was a woman who respected me as an elder of the Nigerian community in Cleveland.  She was also something of a protégé, having sought my advice repeatedly as she considered the proper advanced-degree path to pursue.  In my days as a scientific educator—when, also, two of my sons were in the university—I had become something of an information resource for my fellow Nigerians on matters like the choice of college to attend and the discipline of study, and especially how to tap into financial assistance programs available to good students and their parents in the U.S.  I chose to visit her when most of her friends and well-wishers would be at work. I was wary of the perplexed reactions of my fellow Nigerians when it became known that I am an atheist.  My friends told me I would come across much better as an agnostic or a pagan than an out-and-out atheist, for Nigerians are often ranked alongside Americans in sheer religiosity—of the pushy and loud sort.  It’s amazing that the very people whom religion has historically oppressed and denigrated the most (i.e. women, Blacks, colonized people) are the ones who cling to it most tenaciously!  The Nigerian media go so far as to estimate that one in three houses in the cities and townships of the Christian south of the country are used nowadays as churches, chapels, temples, tabernacles, or other places of worship.  “Nigerian atheist” is considered an oxymoron. Those who know I was raised a Catholic—and, to boot, an altar boy able to recite the entire Eucharist liturgy in Latin and English—profess themselves baffled by my apostasy.  Read the full article: https://www.fadewblogs.eu.org/2021/11/I-said-no.html

Stem Cell Assay Market Research Objectives, Assumptions, Dynamics, and Opportunity Map Analysis
The growth of the stem cell assays market corresponds with that of the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industries, as these form significant end users for stem cell research products. The continuation of this trend—the growth of the end-user base—has compelled a number of companies to launch new products and invest in stem cell-based therapies. According to estimates from the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) Life Sciences and Health Care Industry Group, biotech drugs (vaccines, biologics) continue to gain traction in the life sciences sector. Of the top ten pharmaceutical products (by sales) in 2014, the majority were biotech drugs. Biotech drug sales were estimated at USD 289 billion in 2014, and this figure is projected to grow to USD 445 billion by 2019. Moreover, biotech drugs accounted for a share of 18% of the total sales of drugs in 2010, which is expected to increase to 26% by 2019.  Research in cell biology necessitates the use of animals and humans, as animal and human cells are used in gene therapy studies that involve the recombination of genes and stem cell research therapies. These cells are also used for in vivo toxicity and pharmacokinetic testing of drugs that may harm animals and humans. In addition, stem cell research studies use human embryos for clinical applications that often lead to the destruction of the embryos. In order to monitor these activities, strict regulations have been formulated by ethical authorities, such as the Human Tissue Authority (HTA), Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA), Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and Central Ethics Committee for Stem Cell Research.  The global stem cell assay market is segmented by type, cell type, product service, application, end user, and region. By type, the market is segmented into viability/cytotoxicity, isolation purification, cell identification, proliferation, differentiation, function, and apoptosis assays. The viability/cytotoxicity segment accounted for the largest market share of the global stem cell assay market in 2017. Factors driving the growth of this segment include the widespread use of viability/cytotoxicity assays in stem cell research activities.  Download PDF Brochure With Latest Edition @ https://www.marketsandmarkets.com/pdfdownloadNew.asp?id=47610330 The adult stem cells segment accounted for the largest market share of the global stem cell assay market in 2017.
