On Wednesday this week the the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) introduced additional auditing regulations as Xi Jinping continues his hardline fight against corruption across Chinese government institutions. The additional seventeen rules include articles demanding all malpractice uncovered by the PLA audit office to be transferred to military law enforcers. Audit authorities will no longer be able to suggest lenient punishments such as fines or criticism reports, according to Li Qinghe, the PLA's chief auditor. Zhao Keshi, head of the PLA General Logistics Department, said auditors will be closely watching over military funds, expenditure, assets and that all economic activities of the military will be audited extensively.
