Line to Hook Knots: Trilene (Double Clinch) Knot
www.youtube.com1DAA50E1-0355-420D-A1AD-2C244287F3DCCreated with sketchtool.
Easy to tie and good for about 90% of situations, this is a must learn knot. Strong and reliable not only for joining line to hook, but for joining monofilament or fluorocarbon to swivels and snaps. The knot is said to retain 85-90% of the original line strength. How to: #1. Pass the tag end through the eye of the hook, make a very small loop and pass it through again. #2. Wrap your tag end up the line 5-7 times. #3. Pass the tag end through the double loop you created at the beginning of the knot and pull the tag end tight on moistened line. It will take a little practice to loop it through the eyelet twice and then get the tag end back through there after your wraps.
