This knot is good for slippery, braided lines (like the San Diego Jam and Palomar knots). Fast to tie, so use whichever is easiest to remember. An improved Uni knot--goes through the hook eye twice instead of once. It can hold braided line because of this improvement, unlike the Uni knot. Gained popularity after winning the North American "Knot Wars" series. How to: #1. Put end of line through hook's eye twice. Leave a tag end of around six inches. #2. Put a loop that hangs below the line. #3. Hold the loop in place and make 5 or 6 turns. #4. Moisten and pull tag end through to snug it. Make sure the pull tightly. #5. Slide the knot to tighten it.
