YouTuber Films Suicide Victim, Doesn't Get Why His Jokes Arent Funny
[tw: mentions suicide] This is Logan Paul, YouTuber and brother of Jake Paul and equally influential YouTuber. He has over 15 million subscribers and makes videos about pranks, extreme sports, and basically living off of all the money he makes. Most of his fans are under the age of 17. He has been posting a video every single day for over a year and plenty have been controversial (one of his most successful videos is when he reacts to seeing color for the first time, but then he later admitted that he lied about being color blind) This week though, even his fans have said he has gone too far. He is currently in Japan and making videos about his trip, but he and his friends headed to Aokigahara, also known as Japan's suicide forest. It's the most popular place to tortured people to end their lives. It is known for its beauty so people do go there just to see the nature, but they went into the restricted section. They go on a visit to the forest intending to focus on the "haunted" aspect of it, he says in the video. After walking a short distance into the forest, the group come across a body. The group is filmed approaching the body, which is shown in several close-ups where only the face is blurred out. A member of the group is heard off camera saying he "doesn't feel good". Paul then asks him: "What, you never stand next to a dead guy?" He then laughs. He then took the time to pose with the man (who is revealed to have just died a few hours before due to the color of his body) in order to get the perfect thumbnail and then posted it on his channel. This is literally what the thumbnail image was: It got over 6 million views. Later in the video they joked that YouTube wouldn't put ads on a video with a dead guy so they might as well take sake shots too (YT has a new strict algorithm about what kind of content can make money and obviously suicide isnt one of them) After the video got a ton of criticism, he took the video down and issued this half ass apology: He later posted a video apology but come on. This is just disgusting. I am so sorry to the family of that victim and to anyone who has been affected by suicide. There is NO excuse for what he did. If it was a live stream and an accident I could understand if he was overwhelmed, forgot to turn the camera off, etc. But this was filmed, edited, and uploaded. He zoomed in and took from different angles. He posed for pictures with the body. He is trash. 'Space Jam' Is Still The Best Movie Ever.
So you've read the title of this card, and I already know what you're thinking. "Dani, does 'Inception' mean nothing to you?" or "You're trying to tell me that you think 'Space Jam' is a better movie than [Insert the title of a Quentin Tarantino movie here.]?" And I'm here to tell you - yes, you insolent fools. 'Space Jam' is the 'Citizen Kane' of our time. And here's why: First off, it stars Michael Jordan, arguably the most beloved sports celebrity of the past 30 years or so. Think about it. Tiger Woods? Scandal. Lance Armstrong? Scandal. Michael Jordan? Selling Nikes to you, your friend, your brother, and your dad easily since 1984. (That's right. 1984.) Secondly, it lets kids imagine a world where their favorite 'Looney Toons' characters live among humans. Porky Pig asking for Michael Jordan's autograph? Daffy Duck spraying his spit all over as he argues with Bill Murray? Newman from 'Seinfeld' being flattened out like Wyle E. Coyote under an Acme anvil? Priceless. So much priceless. Plus, I think every 90s kid is STILL obsessed with the movie's soundtrack. "COME ON AND SLAM AND WELCOME TO THE JAM." will always be all that needs to be said before a party starts in any given room. Plus, "I Believe I Can Fly", "Hit 'Em High", "Fly Like An Eagle", and "For You I Will" are singles that are just as great to listen to today. The roster of NBA stars that get their skills stolen by the Monstars reads like an MVP blast from the past. Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley -- These guys were the absolute kings of basketball in the 90s, and seeing them all act in this movie is SUPER amusing, but also makes you feel kind of old now. (I mean, Muggsy Bogues is 50 today, you guys.) 'Space Jam' inspired a whole generation of kid athletes and non-athletes - including NBA power forward Blake Griffin. I mean, I'm not saying that Little Kid Blake Griffin was watching 'Space Jam' in the movie theater, thinking something like "Hey, maybe if I get 'NBA Rookie Of The Year', it'll up my odds of meeting Bugs Bunny'." But I'm also not NOT saying that. And so, my fellow Vinglers, I hope that I have made you reconsider where your previous loyalties laid and will join me in the 'Space Jam Is The Coolest' Vingle Fan Club - where the current members are Me, Me, Me, and @christianmordi over in the Sports Community. What was YOUR favorite part about 'Space Jam'?
The 5 Strangest Superstition in Sports!
Hello sports fans! It's Friday the 13th! Here are some of the strangest superstitions in sports! Michael Jordan Michael always wore his UNC shorts under his NBA shorts. Thus, he wore longer shorts than his fellow players at that time. In the end however, his fellow players followed suit after the legend. Serena Williams Serena Williams is known for not changing socks once during a tournament. It sucks to wear a pair of socks for more than a day...imagine how it would feel to wear the same socks for an entire tournament! I guess Serena doesn't mind it considering the number of tournaments she has won. Brian Ulracher Brian Ulracher ate two chocolate chip cookies before every game. Maybe that was the secret to his muscular body. I think it'd be fair to call him the "Cookie Monster". Caron Butler Caron Butler was known to be an avid fan of Mountain Dew. He loved the drink so much that he drank before and during every game. During his UNC days, he asked his wife to pick him a 2-L bottle of the green stuff, and drank half of it before the game, and the rest during half-time. In 2007, the Wizards and NBA banned him from drinking it during games so he eventually quit the whole thing in 2009. Moises Alou This one has to be the most f*cked up one out of all of them. Moises Alou used to pee on his own hands to harden them! Should we see that as commitment to the game of baseball or just some pretty weird ass shit? Oh and by the way, don't try to harden your hands by peeing on them ladies and gentlemen, because doctors have confirmed that peeing on your hand doesn't harden them. It actually softens them. @jeff4122 @ButterflyBlu @superiorsl @Starbell808 @DonnaMelton @InPlainSight @jokes @BEAUTYgirlARIEL @David19Flo23 @karencorchado @salahabdalla @Moose892 @BrookieyElba @SamuelRodriguez @ValerieAlissaPa @xitlalicordova1 @AndrewMaldonado @Jovi @Shippudenguy21 @AbdulrahmanSaad @trinityarcangel @thefeels @Link4TW @ChriSingularis @sanazsanaz @WilliamBrown @DannyMoses @ClaySharko @Ravenwing92 @FromBlue2U @TravisBeck @LemissaNicole @BossDominata @gatorchick96 @MatthewBoughton @MarcusJiles @BrandonMcNeil @MalikLawary @KyleBerke @manbungo2000 @DerekGumtow @havic @Straightshooter @PhilAnthony @Kirooken @yaakattackk @RodneyYoung @DreJones @JonathanKerns @bnzattoni @TravisManning @GalacticChakra @smothgreen @afxs @johnnolastname @ChristopherKenn @ChasePage @coreywriley91@MikeWolf @MrTenThirty @JasonNilsson @BrunoDutch @SherzTYC @krishntejanand @addri @ChrisStephens What was your favorite one from the list?
