Bass Night Fishing Lure Color Selection Guide
* Keep it dark Small snakes, field mice and even the baitfish are darker in color during the night time, and they're what the bass will be after. So keep your lures dark in color. Don’t worry about the bass seeing them, because besides sight, he has several other senses to rely on when detecting and tracking down food. * Look at the Moon Moon phase can affect lure choice. “When light is relatively bright after dark, such as around full moons, bass can see about half as well as they can during twilight. Any lure type and color that works during dawn or dusk can be successful under those bright conditions. * When Fishing Near Lights Crankbaits, jerkbaits and shaky heads can be used to pull fish from around lights with more natural color choices than you would expect to use in areas void of light. Try whatever you would use during the daytime for that temperature and lake, and see what you can come up with. * Don't Give in to Glowing Gimmicks Glowing lures aren't going to do anything but scare the LMB away. Nothing they chase glows, and glowing lures aren't going to entice them even if they entice us.
