The Human Rights Foundation is working alongside a South Korean Human Rights group with this hackathon that aims to help bring information to North Korea. Their website states this:
"HRF’s Disrupt North Korea project aims to help civil society groups operating in South Korea to hack North Korea in three ways:
1. Balloon launches carrying information and equipment over the border.
2. Radio broadcasting using short and medium-wave signals.
3. Smuggling equipment and information through routes along the North Korean border with China."
More information hasn't been given, but this looks like an interesting project to get involved in.
