Improve Your Gear Selection
Selecting the correct gear at the right time will help you ride longer and faster. Most riders agree that the optimal cadence range for cycling is around 70-100 rpm. However, keeping your cadence in this range isn't always easy. Matt Stephens and Daniel Lloyd bring you their pro tips for being in the right gear, at the right time, all the time.

Great video. I feel like I know my cadence while riding flat, although I'm pretty lost during climbs. Hahaha
Wow, this is quite useful! What helped me most were cadence(70-100rpm) and front break to reel rear wheel shift.
@TeamWaffles Like they said, just get out of the saddle if you're in too high of a gear. @paulist Glad you enjoyed the tips!
