Cinecube (씨네큐브)
How many times have you gone out together to catch dinner and a movie? There's nothing really wrong with it ... but it sure does get boring after a while, doesn't it? If you've ever been in a long-term relationship -- whether it lasted seven months or seven years -- you know that date night starts to feel stale over time. The key to making a relationship last longer is to keep the excitement alive. Going to watch a movie is a standard date but why not spice it up a bit? Why not head off to one of Seoul's tucked away art cinemas which offer a diverse selection of more provocative, controversial and intellectually stimulating films than the rinse-repeat storyline blockbusters you'll find elsewhere. Check out Cinecube which is, believe it or not, located right in the centre of the city in the basement of Gwanghwamun’s landmark Heungkuk Life Insurance building. It has only two screens and there's no Starbucks or Dunkin' Doughnuts - you'll have to make do with the convenience store next door - but what it lacks in over-priced snacks, it makes up for in atmosphere! Costs Involved: Ticket prices vary. Location: B2, Heungkuk Life Insurance Gwanghwamun Office Building, Shinmun-ro 1-ga 226, Jongno-gu (종로구 신문로 1-가226번지 흥국생명 광화문사옥 지하2) Directions: Take the underground to Gwanghwamun Station and take Exit 8. Walk towards Seodaemun until you reach the Heungkuk Life Insurance Building. It is in the basement. Website: http://www.icinecube.com Opening hours: Every Day 6PM-3AM For more information: +82 2 2002 7770

what a smart date idea - I love the idea of seeing art films and something a little less mainstream~
@maryjane01 I know - it's so cute and it just takes the whole cliched movie date idea to a whole new idea!
