OK, every year I make candied walnuts for the office staff. This year I'm doing these! You could add these to so many things--a salad with goat cheese, or date walnut bread... INGREDIENTS 2 Cups Walnuts 8 Teaspoons honey (or maple syrup) 1 teaspoon fresh grated lemon peel 3/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract pinch of salt DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together in a medium sized bowl. Pour out onto a silpat/parchment lined baking sheet. Make sure to spread them out in a single layer. Bake for 10 minutes. I've never added lemon to my candied nuts before. This sounds delicious.
