Bleeding Heart (Dicentra eximia) * Ingesting the leaves, stems, or petals of this bright pink flower won't make your heart bleed, but it can cause serious ailments, such as vomiting, convulsions, diarrhea, and labored breathing. * It has fernlike leaves topped with groups of heart-shaped flowers. *Besides perennial gardens, you'll likely see it growing wild along stream banks and in damp woods in the eastern part of the U.S.
@BayTaylor You'd be surprised! There are a lot of people in more remote regions that try to use plants to supplement other more traditional veggies. Plus its good to know for survival situations! lol but yeah on a day to day basis, I don't know who :D
Why would anyone try to eat them ? xD
@funkystar25 I'm not sure if they have them, but there's probably something similar considering climates and all that! Good mom, then! @timeturnerjones Exactly! Just because it looks nice doesn't mean it tastes nice
I feel like many of the most beautiful flowers are inedible. Didnt most develop theyre colors to both attract bees and scare off poisonous things
I swear I've seen these in the UK too - or something that looks very similar. I always used to try and eat them when I was really small though, my mum was forever taking them out of my hands.
