Here’s what you’ll need to make Coconut Water: A corkscrew or hammer & nail 1 or 2 coconuts filtered water sea salt local/organic honey (if possible) Remove water from coconut with a corkscrew. You want to screw it into one of the three holes. Then you can hold it over a glass and let it drain out. Heat 1/2 cup of the water to boiling and remove from heat. Add the honey (or syrup) and salt; stir until dissolved. Add the remaining water, honey mixture, and water from the coconut to a 1/2 gallon size pitcher. Stir and refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
when the first thing the recipe calls for is a hammer, you know you're doing something right
I don't mean to knock your idea, but in JA we drink it straight from the coconut.why add water?it kills the natural flavour.I say add everything else to it and leave out the water.
This sounds so refreshing!
back home in the Philippines we add the tender coconut meat in the coconut water, then we add sugar, ice, and condensed milk ... oh, so good! esp when its so humid and hot, it will definitely hit the spot :)
i drink fresh coconut water almost daily! i definitely need some cool collaborative ideas to mix things up! :)
