There is truth in medicine cabinets. Despite the lies we tell ourselves and others, our medicine cabinets know us better than anyone. Medicine cabinets are full of worry, memories, encroaching death, and continued life. The prescription bottles, skin moisturizer, and frayed toothbrush reflect our humanity and vulnerability. Study your medicine cabinet. Write about it. Suggested time: 5 to 10 minutes.

Let me get started! My medicine cabinet is a reflection of years gone by, children aged slowly. Band-aids and cough syruo, bottles of experied prescription. Neosporin and rubbing alcohol form piles and heaps hidden being a mirror faced door. During spring cleaning moments, I rearrange and touch and organize and yet the heaps remiain, because you never know when you're going to need those little bits for a scrapped knee, or a withering set of memories.
