Well its that time again.... But we're not starting out slow (´ヮ`) So hold on.... @aabxo where you at, babygirl? ( ̄︶ ̄) DOUBLE K FT CRUSH, B-FREE, PENTO, CHEETAH, KYE BUM ZU, JUVIE TRAIN, PALOALTO__HOT PANTS EXTENDED VERSION Too much awesomeness in one track.....Crusssshhhhhh.....that boy.....he's dangerous on that hook. All the features.....my gawwwddd slayyygage to the nth degree. Cheetah, grrrrrl, I see you ◑▂◑ Juvie Train.....love his tone♡ Paloalto is so boss. Just good stuff happening here. Enjoy. SAN E FT BUMKEY__BODY LANGUAGE Listen to my girl, Ursula.... she knows what's up. SOUL ONE FT REDDY__BECAUSE OF YOU This song is soooooooo GOOD. The beat....the vocals.... the rap....you can get those yearn, want, NEED feels from this track. I'm in love with this. As you should be. BUMKEY FT DYNAMIC DUO__ATTRACTION Bumkey had to make an appearance and dazzle us with his smooth vocals. How do you say goodbye you ask? YOU DON'T (๑^ں^๑) DYNAMIC DUO FT HYORIN of Sistar__HOT WINGS Mmmmhmm.....it had to happen (*‾︶‾*) This is the epitome of slow jams here. Feel free to adlib your own BoomChickaWowWows. AOORA.FT SERI__SMOOTH Yes another Aoora track. I can't help it....I love Aoora. TAEYANG FT KUSH__MAKE LOVE YB is my go-to for slow jams... he does it so well♡ LOCO FT GRAY__IF I *swoon* _(_^_)_> This is the reason they're my favorite. That fancam on the second slide slayed me BTW so figured I'd share. AFTER SCHOOL__FIRST LOVE Uuuuuggghhhh this is one of my favorite choreographies in kpop. Not for the obvious slutty trashy stereotype associated with pole dancing. The way they presented it was really beautiful and artistic....and yeah I'll say it's sexy but only because it's done a classy way. This could've gone slutty real quick but they kept it classy. And the song? Also on my list for favorite girl group songs ever. EXO M__MY LADY I honestly didn't finish watching the full video.....I had a stroke when Lay blew that kiss....then died after Tao traced the rose down his face leading into the first chorus. So y'all enjoy it for me <(_ _)> Why this GIF you ask? Well......why the hell not? (´ヮ`)(´ヮ`)(´ヮ`) So this concludes our weekly slow jam playlist.... And as always handle with care and stay hydrated, children.
4 Taiwanese Dramas Remade into Korean
I was talking to @cindystran recently about how I've only seen one Taiwanese drama ever, but it looks like I'll have to dive into that world soon! Check out these 4 Taiwanese drama that have Korean counterparts! 1. Fated to Love You Taiwanese version: Starring Joe Chen and Ethan Juan. This Taiwanese drama came out in 2008, and it broke rating records. Korean version: Starring Jang Na Ra, Jang Hyuk and Choi Jin Hyuk. The series reunited Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra. Plot: Making a mistake after having way too many drinks can change everything. Lee Gun is the successor to a large company run by his family. Kim Mi Young is an average-looking secretary in a law firm who earned the nickname “Post-It” for her inability to say no to her colleagues who dump work on her. When the two cross paths one night after having too much to drink, they end up having a one-night stand. When Mi Young finds out afterwards that she is pregnant, what will become of them? 2. My Queen Taiwanese version: starring Ethan Juan and Cheryl Yang. And it was awarded the Best Channel Advertising at the 44th Golden Bell Awards. Korean version: named "Witch's Romance". starring Uhm Jung Hwa and Park Seo Joon. Plot: Two hard working people who have lost love in their lives meet and despite the age difference, they find a lot in common with each other, including their scarred hearts. 3. In Time With You Taiwanese version: Starring Ariel Lin, Chen Bolin and Sunny Wang. "Li Daren" probably will be the most ideal prince in every girl's dream. Korean version: The name of this Korean drama will is The Time We Were Not In Love with Ha Ji Won and Lee Jin Wook . Plot: Oh Ha-Na and Choi Won are both 34-years-old. They have been friends for 17 years. Oh Ha-Na is currently a career woman with an honest and confident personality. Choi Won works as an assistant purser for an airline. He has always helped Oh Ha-Na whenever she got into trouble. Will Oh Ha-Na and Choi Won find love? 4. Absolute Boyfriend Taiwanese version: Starring Jiro Wang and Gu Hye Sun. Consider how cute and pretty this couple is; you don't want to miss it. Its about an adorable girl who is consistently seeking for love but always has a lack of luck...so she has one custom made. Korean version: There have been rumors about Absolute Boyfriend being remade into a Korean drama for a really long time. There is a Japanese version though!!! Plot: Riiko Izawa has never had a boyfriend and she has been rejected by every boy she has ever had a crush on. When she returns a lost cell phone to an oddly dressed salesman, she mentions wanting a boyfriend. To thank her, he directs her to his company's website, Kronos Heaven. When she visits the site, Riiko finds it's a site to create your perfect lover. Thinking it's a game, she customizes and accidentally orders one. The next day, her new lover arrives.
If BTS Were in Boys Over Flowers
Now, I think there are a lot of things wrong with the plot of BoF (mainly the boys treat Jan-di like crap) but its still funto imagine it as a less problematic drama. Here's who I'd cast! Gu Jun Pyo - Suga The leader of the F4 and heir to the Shinhwa Group, one of the biggest companies in South Korea. He is hot-tempered and believes that there is nothing that money can't buy. Though he's unable to express his feelings, deep down, he has a heart of gold. He torments Jan-di after she stands up to his bullying ways, but ends up falling in love with her and will do anything to protect her. Yoon Ji Hoo - V A member of the F4 and the grandson of a former president of Korea. He has a driving phobia after being involved in a car accident that killed his parents and left him the only survivor. He is initially in love with his childhood friend Seo-hyun, who helped him overcome his social anxiety. Calm and gentle, his musical talent catches Jan-di's attention and she begins to develop feelings for him. So Yi Jung - Jungkook A member of the F4 and a skilled potter. His family owns the country's biggest art museum. After losing his first love to his brother, he becomes a Casanova. He eventually changes his playboy ways when he realizes that he likes Ga-eul. Song Woo Bin A member of the F4, his family runs the country's largest construction company, which Woo-bin later admits has strong connections to organized crime. However, he has excellent business sense and is very charismatic. He's a super nice guy that happens to be a gangster lol and of course RM, Jin, and Jimin are the dad, mom, and little brother :) How would you cast BOF?
I Can't Believe It's Not ____!: Songs you didn't know were covers
Full disclosure: Neither butter nor its evil counterpart, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!, have really anything to do with the rest of this card at all. But the name is just so damn catchy and malleable, so, forgive me. Moving on, I'm here to give some love to the original composers and performers of songs that you may not know deserve credit. Sometimes, a song gets buried for years, only to be picked up by a totally different artist (often in a different genre and style), and it's the second version that blows up. In lots of these cases, there is little mention of the original. Let's change that. I Can't Believe It's Not LED ZEPPELIN! Song: "Dazed and Confused" (1969) Original: Jake Holmes (1967) Eerily enough, Jake Holmes actually has some real Robert Plant qualities to his voice. Or maybe Plant ripped his vocal style off of Holmes just like he did one of his best songs. I don't know. Is nothing sacred? I Can't Believe It's Not AMY WINEHOUSE! Song: "Valerie" (2007) Original: The Zutons (2006) The Zutons are kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. They're a not-very-good mid-2000s Brit rock group, but something about the lead singer's voice is really appealing to me. Amy's version is damn-near perfect and is the basis of every A Capella group's top hit, but it wouldn't have been possible without The Zutons. Which is not something that you can say for many things in this world. I Can't Believe It's Not ARETHA FRANKLIN! Song: "Respect" (1967) Original: Otis Redding (1965) Ok, this one is legitimately surprising. I've heard the Otis version a million times and I didn't know that it was his song until recently. The two versions are really, really different, and each is awesome in its own right. It's hard to go wrong with Otis or Aretha. Everyone wins. I Can't Believe It's Not THE BEATLES! Song: "Twist and Shout" (1963) Original: The Isley Brothers (1962) The Isley Brothers didn't actually write this song - Phil Medley and Bert Burns did - but they were the first to chart the song, before The Beatles did a year later. Fun fact: The Beatles recorded Please Please Me, the record that contains this hit, in just 10 hours. Their producer knew that "Twist and Shout" would totally ruin John Lennon's voice because of its demanding style, so he saved it for last, with just 15 minutes of scheduled recording time left. Indeed, it totally blew out Lennon's voice, and, while the producer wanted to do a second take, Lennon just couldn't manage it. Ended up fine, if you ask me. I Can't Believe It's Not ELVIS PRESLEY! Song: "Hound Dog" (1956) Original: Big Mama Thornton (1952) Oh man! OH MAN! Who is Big Mama Thornton, and where has she been? This woman is a force! She also recorded "Ball n' Chain" before Janis Joplin made it a hit. Give the lady some love! This version is fucking awesome! But, yeah, Elvis's is better. Sorry Big Mama. Which one surprises you the most? Do you like the originals better, or the more popular covers? Music community folks: Reveal yourselves!
Ryan Reynolds Baby DRAMA
He's just a new dad people, give him a break. Everyone is still stirring over some controversy about how Ryan Reynolds used a baby carrier incorrectly. Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, had a daughter who they named James. Lively posted the Instagram picture above on Father's Day which resulted in an overwhelming amount of buzz from fans worried about James' safety. It's funny how critical everyone is being especially since many act as if they've never made a mistake as a parent. Ryan, don't provoke people more than you already have. Of course he took it one step further. He then quoted a tweet of the picture above commenting, "This is absolutely monstrous and does anybody know if it requires a permit?" The picture was captioned, "These baby cages were used in apartments in the 1930s to make sure the child got enough fresh air and sunlight." Good intentions right? People need to realize that times were very different 85 years ago. Health standards and safety hazards were drastically different. They also didn't have social media to criticize every action you did. People made mistakes, sometimes bad things happened, but it was a realistic learning experience. YOU MOVED ON. Here's Reynolds interview with TODAY that was posted yesterday and it shows some insight on his new movie along with a quick response to his baby drama. Reynolds simply states, " You know, I'm a first time dad and that is not the first mistake I've made and I can guarantee you that it won't be the last." Lively and Reynolds have tried to keep their daughter James out of the public eye since last December and especially now with all of the controversy. I say no big deal and move on. Every parent makes some mistakes. Do you think he needed an apology? [ No babies were harmed in the making of this card. ]
