Sour cream layer:
2/3 cup sour cream
2 tbs flour
2 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
For the brownie layer:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp espresso powder
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
4.5 oz Marich Dark Chocolate Salted Caramels, chopped (or any other brand, because really, is there a bad dark chocolate salted caramel out there?)
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 9x13 baking pan.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together all of your sour cream layer ingredients. Set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, and salt together.
Slowly whisk in melted butter.
Mix in flour, cocoa powder and espresso powder.
Once combined fold in chopped caramels.
Pour brownie layer into prepared baking dish.
Drizzle sour cream mixture over the top. Using a knife swirl the layers together.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out slightly moist. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
