Oomori Seiko: Bubbly J-pop with a Sinister Side
Seiko is signed to the major label Avex, one of Japan’s largest music companies. But before she ended up in their offices in downtown Tokyo, she was making a name for herself in the Japanese birthplace of punk, Kōenji. She started her career playing only acoustic guitar, delivering emotional performances that normally saw her voice become by turns a sad whimper and an angry yell. Because of her background, she is often referred to as an 'anti-idol.'

Wow, this has such a unique sound and her background is so inspiring! The sound reminds me a little of the music from Gilmore Girls, anyone agree?
