While a bowl of cereal and milk isn't necessarily a traditional Japanese breakfast, the market for American breakfast cereals has remained strong in the island nation for quite some time. In fact, here are some cool vintage Kellogg's cereal boxes from Japan dated from the late '70s to early '80s. Some characters you might recognize from your own childhood!
These are so fun! Vintage and whimsical, seems like a great history and design lesson don't you think?
@pixiedust I thought so too! I was trying to research further on Kellogg's involvement in Japanese markets, but I couldn't find very specific details. It's a shame. I bet it's a completely different experience working with an audience who don't treat cereal like such a dietary staple.
I love Honey Pon's!
The fruit loop bird!
