Did you know there's a private restaurant in Disneyland? It's a membership place, but members can get other people in. We went there a few years ago, and it was one of my favorite Disney memories! The restaurant entrance is hidden in New Orleans Square. You ring a bell, and tell them your name to open the door. Once inside, they look you over for dress code issues (no tank tops!) and take you upstairs. There are two rooms for dining, and one that has a buffet of desserts. Beer and wine are served, which meant my lamb was accompanied by a few glasses of Pinot Noir. The meal was delicious, although the dessert buffet was a let down. Our table was in the corner, with french doors on both sides. After lunch, we left the kids at the park and went back to the hotel for a siesta. My kind of Disney day! If you know someone who is a member, it's a nice once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I remember my boss where I work actually was invited to eat there one night and had to decline after waiting so long because his daughter had the chicken pox!
@honeysoo, it definitely felt like that! @pixiedust, the fun part is the cost of the meal is the same as admission to the park (or it was when we went.) So I didn't feel guilty at all leaving after we ate lunch--I got my money's worth at the table:)
Disney is full of weird secrets hahaha
How cool! Sounds like a kind of speakeasy with the whole hidden door thing.
You are correct @AgentCory, and someday i will go and experience the magic first hand. That's such an amazing experience to share with your family @Spudsomma.
