This is the stack room of the George Peabody Library in Baltimore, Maryland. The library opened in 1878, and has five stories of cast iron balconies, topped by a skylight. The library is now administered by Johns Hopkins University, and is still open to the public for viewing. It appears to be mainly used as a wedding venue. All images from
I certainly have a weakness for libraries, and this is no exception! Look at all of those books, it's like something out of a fairy tale or maybe even Beauty and the Beast!
