Starlapse in Antarctica
This video puts together timelapses of the aurora australis with the winter sky at the Rothera Research Station, Antarctica! Usually, it doesn't fall in the auroral zone, but a couple of recent coronal mass ejections caused a minor geomagnetic storm on 27-29th August, and with a rare high pressure system overhead, moonless skies showcasing the aurora appeared! The videographers stayed out in 15-20C below 0C temperature to get these shots! Amazing!
