Engine Dies, Plane Spins 26 Times, Pilot Saves Himself
"Well, this is it." Last words of this pilot, or at least he thought they would be his last words. When his Tipsy Nipper's engine died the pilot attempted a normal erect spin to the right in order to correct the problem. Unfortunately, the plane then went into a flat spin. Dropping from 3500ft, spinning 26 times, and a failed attempt at restarting and recovering, the pilot thought he was done for. Somehow he recovered the plan at around 700ft and crash landed into a field. He is lucky to be alive!

Wow lucky indeed. It takes a level head to stay calm in that situation; I surely don't think I would have matched it. Thankfully he's ok.
