Just in time for Halloween :) What you will need: 1/2 cup organic white sugar 1/2 cup organic brown sugar 1/4 cup homemade pumpkin puree (Recipe Below) 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (Recipe Below) 1/2 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil (you can find this at most health food stores!) PUMPKIN PUREE: A fresh whole pumpkin A baking dish Food Processor Step 1: Bake Preheat the oven to 375°. Place the whole pumpkin (be sure to wash it first) in the baking dish. Stab (yes, you must stab!) several holes in the pumpkin. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until the exterior of the pumpkin is soft when touched. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Step 2: Cut and Scoop Once the pumpkin is cool, slice the pumpkin in half. Remove the seeds. Scoop the flesh of the pumpkin into the bowl of a food processor. Step 3: Puree Turn on the food processor and puree away! PUMPKIN SPICE: Ingredients 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon ground allspice 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 2 pinches ground cardamom Recommended Equipment mortar & pestle (if you're grinding whole spices) Directions Mix all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight container with a secure lid. Store in a cool, dry place. SUGAR SCRUB: Simply mix together the white and brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Add in the pumpkin puree and Vitamin E Oil. Mix all the ingredients together.
