I don't know how much I agree with this article (especially the bit about milkshakes being good for you since they have calcium...right?) but it does bring up valid points. Everything in moderation people!! Here's my favorite 6 foods they mentioned! 1. Fish & Chips - Emphasis on the fish. A portion provides vitamin C, vitamins B6 and B12, some iron, zinc and calcium, as well as iodine, omega-3 fatty acid and some important dietary fiber. Go easy on the chips. 2. Cheese - Cheese is high in fat, particularly saturated fat, and can contribute significantly to the amount of calories in a meal, even if just grated on top. But some cheeses are particularly nutritious. Cheddar, for example, is high in calcium, zinc, vitamin B12, and is a source of vitamin A, riboflavin and folate. 3. Baked Beans- Comes in a can, is sweet and sticky, and tastes best covering thick slices of toast. The good news is, baked beans also provide calcium, potassium and some iron. 4. Alcohol - A Harvard study of more than 18,000 men found that those who had an average of two drinks every day had a lower risk of a heart attack than those who drink a lot, but less often. 5. Pizza - I am not talking about Dominos. If you choose your pizza carefully then there can be a lot of nutritional value. By sticking with a thin crust, whole wheat, half the cheese, either chicken breast or ham, and lots of vegetables, then there is plenty which is healthy. 6. Chocolate - Cocoa is rich in a number of minerals, mainly the same compounds found in red wine and green tea which are good for your heart. It is particularly prominent in dark chocolate.
Yeah I dont know about that fish and chips argument lol
@TrueBruin I'm hoping they mean two glasses of wine and not two sugary cocktails :)
If it says pizza is healthy I approve lol but srsly I think the real point is moderation helps more than just avoiding bad things
2 drinks of alcohol a day?! The pounds will rack up quickly.
I hate when people hate on cheese! It's great as long as you dont eat too much!
