Open This Week: Clayton Brothers – “Open to the Public” at Mark Moore Gallery in Culver City, California
The Clayton Brothers' "Open to the Public" is their first solo show in the Los Angeles area since 2011. Showing through this weekend, the exhibition at the Mark Moore Gallery involves a completely new body of work featuring mixed-media drawings, assemblage, photography, video, and installations. "Open to the Public" is inspired by thrift store aesthetic, using not only the brothers’ paintings, but also incorporating random trinkets, discarded items, and photographs retrieved from the Sun Thrift Store in Sunland, California.
I love this, especially all of the random bits that they found in the thrift store :)

@caricakes Yeah! There seems to be a lot of trophies and blue ribbons among the artwork. Apparently people like to give those things away!
