The joke is funny, but it's really quite true. For all of the pretense, assumption, or obfuscation (SAT point anyone?) what each of us is truly looking for is someone to share our lives with. To me it's important to be confident and assured in your own life, to be able to experience the world and all of the magic it holds with your own two eyes standing on your own two feet. But that doesn't mean sharing these experiences, this magic and wonder, this LIFE isn't even more rewarding. Accepting yourself is the first step, but accepting love from another and sharing your life is the next one.
