Data Mining Reveals How Sites Like GitHub Succeed and Fail
Social coding is growing in our era and is shown through all the successful projects built on GitHub and similar sites. Yuya Yoshikawa and others at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology in Japan have used data mining to determine the effectiveness of social coding websites. Their conclusion was that if a github project has more internal developers, then there are more push/pull commits and more activity in a project. Also, they found that projects that have too many developers are not as successful. This is pretty interesting and good to know! I attached the link of the article so you can read more in detail!
