Before you throw them out, try this trick! Many solar lights have a simple battery inside which is what gets charged by the sun during the day! Find the screw near your light, open it up, and check the battery compartment for corrosion. If there is no corrosion, simply replace the battery with the same model, and you'll be good to go!
Great idea; I only spend about 1 or 2 dollars on mine, but I still don't like having to pay to replace them.
